Saludos amigos, quiero contarles mi experiencia luego de dos años sin atreverme a subir por el cortafuegos y la cota mil. Es normal que en Caracas uno agarre el domingo en especial, ya que está cerrado el acceso vehicular hasta la 1 de la tarde y uno pues aprovecha de ir a caminar y ejercitarse. Por eso viendo que ya me he sentido mucho mejor de la cabeza, me atreví con mi hijo a subir.

Fue improvisado la verdad, tomamos unas botellas con agua y nuestros mejores zapatos para la aventura. Esto fue gratificante, pues comprobé que puedo subir y que ya no me cuesta tanto. Mathias se divirtió muchísimo, estaba tan feliz que se le olvidó el malestar que ya casi desaparece por completo de gripe que tenía. Jugo con un palito y seguía caminando hasta donde nos lleváramos los pies.

Subimos por la Av. Baralt y llegamos al corta fuego por San Bernardino hasta la salida en La Florida. Un tramo que recorrimos de forma lenta en dos horas y me lo goce. Lo malo fue la vegetación quemada en el camino. Un olor a humo mojado un poco intenso.

Al llegar a la Florida nos compramos dos helados, el mío de coco estaba horrible y tuve que botarlo. Gracias a Dios el niño si degustó el suyo de mora. Ya se para la próxima. También lo bueno de esto juntos es que pasamos un rato súper agradable, mantuvimos momentos de conversación y otros de silencio que siento nos hace falta en medio de la rutina semanal, pero por supuesto hacia falta Enmanuel en esta ecuación.

Fue una salida con vistas hermosas, logros físicos e interacción bonita y asertiva con mi hijo lo mejor de todo.

It was improvised, we took some bottles of water and our best shoes for the adventure. This was gratifying, because I proved that I can climb and that it's not so hard for me anymore. Mathias had a lot of fun, he was so happy that he forgot about his almost completely disappeared flu feeling. He played with a small stick and kept walking as far as our feet would take us.

We walked up Baralt Avenue and reached the firebreak through San Bernardino to the exit at La Florida. A stretch that we walked slowly in two hours and I enjoyed it. The bad thing was the burnt vegetation on the road. The smell of wet smoke was a bit intense.

When we arrived in Florida we bought two ice creams, mine was horrible and I had to throw it away. Thank God the boy tasted his blackberry one. I know what to do next time. Also the good thing about this together is that we had a super nice time, we had moments of conversation and other moments of silence that I feel we need in the midst of the weekly routine, but of course Enmanuel was missing in this equation.

It was an outing with beautiful views, physical achievements and beautiful and assertive interaction with my son, the best of all.
