Hoy 15 de enero se conmemora una fecha importante para mí, como para todos los maestros de este país, ya que un 15 de enero de 1932, siendo presidente de Venezuela, Juan Vicente Gómez, los profesores en esa época se unieron y formaron una sociedad con el fin de defender sus derechos laborales y mejorar la educación en el país, no obstante, el 5 de octubre se celebra mundialmente el día del docente, esto se estableció en el año 1994.
Retomando lo antes dicho, considero relevante esta fecha para mí, porque es precisamente la carrera que decidí escoger y en la cual me estoy desempeñando, justamente laboro como docente de la asignatura de “inglés” en el instituto donde curse mi bachillerato aunque aún no me he graduado en esta carrera, pero debo decir que estoy trabajando en lo que será mi Tesis de Grado.
Es un trabajo que aunque es bastante complejo amerita que le dedique gran parte de mi tiempo, porque mi meta es lograr recibir este año mi título universitario, que me catalogara como licenciada en educación mención inglesa y mientras, voy trabajando duro en preparar mi tesis, en el liceo en el que me estoy desempeñando, me siento orgullosa y les contaré que varias docentes que laboran ahí en esa institución también egresaron de ese liceo como bachilleres y se prepararon igual como lo estoy haciendo yo, y lo más bonito de esta historia es que decidimos regresar al lugar donde nos graduamos y donde tenemos tantos lindos, bellos y no tan bellos recuerdos.
Ahora que soy docente y laboro enseñando a chicos, entiendo tal vez lo que no entendía cuando estaba en el sitio de mis alumnos, entiendo que educar a una persona no es hacerle aprender algo que no sabía, sino hacer de esa personita alguien que no existía, pretendo ser una profesora de la cual mis alumnos no olviden y lo que logre impartir y enseñarles perdure en el tiempo.
Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de mis profesores de bachillerato, algunos más gruñones y regañones que otros, pero como olvidar esos momentos, en lo personal tengo una profesora de la cual tengo que agradecer porque para mí ella fue mi inspiración para yo querer estudiar esta carrera, esa profesora de nombre “Rocío” me brindo tanto cariño, dedicación y me tuvo tanta paciencia que ahora que estoy trabajando a la par con ella en la misma institución me siento feliz y realizada, aprendí a quererla al igual que a la directora del plantel, en la época en donde yo estudie ella fue mi profesora de química, han pasado los años y ahora es la Directora del plantel.
Ahora puedo decir que ser profesora es darme la oportunidad de volver a vivir la época de mi adolescencia con ojos y almas de adulta, rodeada de adolescentes como yo lo fui y al igual que a esa profesora que tanto quiero y dejo una huella linda en mi vida, pretendo tratar con todas mis posibilidades de hacer lo mismo con mis muchachos, dejarles huella en su corazón de querer seguir adelante, de querer seguir preparándose y superándose como lo ha hecho la gran mayoría de los egresados de ese liceo.
Hoy 15 de enero que se conmemora esa fecha especial por ser día del educador, quiero desear a todos los docentes, profesores tanto activos como jubilados un feliz día, propongo un abrazo virtual y un brindis para todos los profesores y profesoras que laboran en hermosa comunidad, mis mejores deseos y Bendiciones.

It is a work that although it is quite complex, it deserves that I dedicate a great part of my time to it, because my goal is to receive my university degree this year, which will classify me as a graduate in education with a major in English, and meanwhile, I am working hard to prepare my thesis in the high school where I am working, I feel proud and I will tell you that several teachers who work there in that institution also graduated from that high school as high school graduates and were prepared just as I am doing, and the most beautiful thing about this story is that we decided to return to the place where we graduated and where we have so many nice, beautiful and not so beautiful memories.
Now that I am a teacher and I work teaching children, perhaps I understand what I did not understand when I was in the place of my students, I understand that educating a person is not to make him learn something he did not know, but to make that little person someone who did not exist, I intend to be a teacher that my students will not forget and what I manage to impart and teach them will last in time.
I have very good memories of my high school teachers, some more grumpy and nagging than others, but how to forget those moments, personally I have a teacher that I have to thank because for me she was my inspiration for me to want to study this career, that teacher named "Rocio" gave me so much affection, I learned to love her as well as the director of the campus. At the time when I was studying, she was my chemistry teacher, years have passed and now she is the director of the campus.
Now I can say that being a teacher is giving me the opportunity to relive the time of my adolescence with adult eyes and souls, surrounded by teenagers as I was and just like that teacher that I love so much and left a beautiful mark in my life, I intend to try with all my possibilities to do the same with my boys, to leave a mark in their hearts of wanting to move forward, to want to continue preparing and improving themselves as the vast majority of the graduates of this high school have done.
Today, January 15, which commemorates this special date as educator's day, I want to wish all teachers, both active and retired, a happy day, I propose a virtual hug and a toast to all teachers who work in this beautiful community, my best wishes and blessings.

Es muy real lo que dices, hay profesores que se quedan contigo, algunos por cosas buenas y otros por cosas malas, eso lo hace una de las profesiones más importantes y difíciles, por lo menos desde mi punto de vista.
