Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and outlying areas!
We have a holiday weekend here in the US of A, and since it is the weekend, it is also Caturday, my favorite day of the week!

The Mom-Hooman was up late last night and noticed me sleeping comfortably between her and the Dad-Hooman on the bed and snapped a few photos... without my knowledge!
I always sleep with my Hoomans at night... someone has to protect them, right?
Truth is, I am very fond of my Hoomans, and I like to be near them at all times. I know we cats have a reputation for being very "aloof and independent," but we can also be fiercely loyal and protective!
Besides, the Hoomans' bed is one of the most comfortable spots in the house... even when they are moving around during the night.
Meanwhile...
The Son-Hooman is visiting from Seattle for the long holiday weekend... he's one of the few visitors I don't mind too much because he's a very calm sort of person. "Highly strung" Hoomans just make me feel nervous and anxious.
We can tell that fall is not far away... the days are a little shorter, and the nights are a little cooler.
The Hoomans are still very busy with "harvesting" things from their garden... none of it is really very interesting to me, although I do occasionally nibble on some of the greenery they bring in. They tried growing catnip for me, but it turned out that I actually prefer the dried kind to the fresh stuff...

The Importance of Patience
A few days ago, I posted about it being my 500th post on Hive, and that was also a reminder of the importance of being patient.
It takes a while to build a following for pretty much any venture we undertake in life... and that includes a cat blog. And it also takes patience to build a crypto "furtune," including something as basic and simple as just the staked Hive tokens we have here.

In the 4 1/2 years we have been doing this, I have never powered down, and it has definitely been a "labor of love" to gradually build my little account up to its current 2,665 Hive Power!
Sometimes the challenge is simply in not powering down, no matter how useful it might be to have a little extra money for daily life... you just have to "show up" all the time, and stay the course!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

Kitties sleeping in the hoomans bed is the best! I'm so used to having cats in my bed, that I can't sleep without at least one of them next to me.
Now that fall is nearing and the nights aren't hot anymore, all 5 cats have started sleeping in our big bed.
So I had lots of opportunities to take pictures of them while they slept...
It's amazing how much HP you have built up! But not surprising. You've been on steem and then here for so long and you are contributing regularly with your lovely posts.
