Last week we were having a get-together with some friends and while choosing a beer for the evening I decided to try one of the novelties that appeared in our supermarkets - Japanese lager with a funny name for the Russian ear, EBOSHI Original.
Literally, it was a logical continuation of the theme with Russo-Japanese War :)
Funny, but to the Japanese style beer (for example - classic Japanese rice lager), it has nothing to do, and brewed in Germany by the Japanese recipe, and I must admit I really liked the fact that the brewers have made a bet not on the number of components, and their quality.
The composition includes water, barley malt and hop products. As a result it tastes very close to American lagers but with a slight bitterness and bready notes and what was pleasantly pleasant was the colors in flavor. It is very easy to drink, and what is even funnier - when the beer stops being very cold in the taste appears biscuit (!!!).
And the dark golden color of the drink is very pleasant.
Well, since i said "funny name" it's worth clarifying. In Russian, the name EBOSHI is consonant with a popular, extremely crude swear word meaning "hard work", but in fact, translated from Japanese, it means the traditional Japanese men's headdress "raven hat" (like the one that adorns the warrior on the can). So when I bought this beer in the store, both I and the saleswoman blushed and smiled embarrassedly.
Of course, I will drink it again, especially because this drink does not give me a headache and five cans in an evening are consumed quite imperceptibly and do not cause heavy intoxication.
