Back to 'het Veem' for beers

in BEER4 months ago

I just love the idea of all of these local breweries doing good business and slightly expanding their horizons. The location around them also changes the whole time, so they also have to make adjustments to keep it fresh.

In the case of Brewery het Veem in the city of Eindhoven they have beers and snacks for you, but now next to them there is this food market called Str'eat. And all of a sudden there is a popularity competition going on, because a long time 'Het Veem' was one of the only places in Strijp-S where it was really alive.

And the beer, there is literally nothing wrong with that. The beer has been good forever and it still is as you can see the empty glasses here. The choice of poison? The own brewn lager in the front, the 'Koru' home brewn double IPA and a classic Tongerlo triple.

Classics? Or new?

So the city of Eindhoven has been changing rapidly over the last couple of years with the amount of expats who have started to live here. ASML is the business that attracts the expats and that means something for how the bars are functioning here as well.

It gives the reason to make these kinds of tasting menu's and yeah they are all in English at the moment. To me this is all fine. Beer is a social event right?

The world changes and luckily the beer places change along!

I don't go for any tasting menu this time. Usually I like this concept, but the night was long and you then want to know what are taking in. But I do like the concept. Getting the small glasses, trying everything, I saw a lot of people getting some!

I don't remember which beer this was anymore, it was on my cameraroll, but i have no idea who of us drank it or which one it was. The color is really good though!

The kettles!

Now the coolest backdrop even in a place like this is just to use the kettles as a backdrop for your bar.

Here you can see the kettles are actually filled at the moment and what kind of beer they are filled with.

And if you ever wondered how beers are made in general in the whole brewing process? Well, just take a look at the big door and everything will become clear in a second.

Works for me honestly! I would love to see on a random day in here on how you go from the one step to the other. The girl who works there said that this is always done in the morning before the bar opens. Not too many visitors then in there, which I understand.

Bigger kettles, bigger problems.

Techno tripel

Ahhh, and as a lover of local techno music I love the concept of this beer ofcourse. It doesn't more local than the beers which are especially designed for the stuff that you love.

And after a start at brewery 'Het Veem', well.... it was time to really hit the town. With al of the summer stuff going on we ended up in a salsa latin evening getting salsa classes. I guess the hips shake a lot better after the are moisted up a bit more.

That is what 'het Veem' does to to! I love summer!

That looks like a nice brewery.

As we have this lovely map service for posts, please think about adding a worldmappin code to your post to create your own map of memories. Just use https://worldmappin.com.

Yeahhhh I have used it before on some travels, but good one....can surely used on breweries as well!

We are converting some more functionality for worldmappin to support different communities.

Means - News are coming in a while

That's precisely the way I like my beers - right from the very source :))

heheh a connaisseaur! Yeah, get it from close and support the local boys making it so

Bigger kettles, bigger problems. The beer making process looks clearer now
