Part #2 with Belgium beer from Aldi supermarket

Like I already mentioned in last week's #beersaturday post Is a #beersaturday post on Monday ok?
I bought two Belgium beers when I only wanted to buy some tobacco.
So here is the other one I want to show you.

You can see it's also a Steenbrugge beer

And again the label is not a marketing award-winning one.
But also this one stands out and does its job.
No triple beer this time but a blond one.

Did it also win awards?

I do not think so. The silver-colored sticker in the upper left corner only says:

Brussels Beer Challenge 2013 - 2019

So for me, it looks like they participated but did not win anything but the silver-colored sticker should make you think they ended on the second place.

It's also a Belgium Abbey Beer but this time with "only" alc. 6.5% vol.

Let's check the taste

Again I had to remove a cork, like opening a good bottle of champagne.
It was all very promising and looked quite nice.

This beer is also "Enriched with Spices".

On the back label they say:

STEENBRUGGE Blond is a top-fermented, blond abbey beer with a warm, full flavor and hints of clove and cinnamon. Its fruity, herbal yeast aroma combines perfectly with the typical blend of herbs and spices which gives the beer its unique, delicious flavor. STEENBRUGGE Blond has a modest and truly accessible nature, remaining true to the spirit of the abbey. This beer was first brewed at Steenbrugge adder, also known as Sint-Pieter's abbey in Bruges. Ideal to unwind after a busy day.

Now let's hope I will not get downvoted for plagiarism. The text is 98% the same as it is on the other bottle 😂

What did my taste buds say

Nice! Not bad at all!
It's a bit milder and less bitter than the other one. The added spices give it a round taste which I did not expect.

Especially cinnamon made me wonder if I would like it. But they did a good job so that no taste overlays.
