RE: Duvel series for #BeerSaturday, part 3: Fresh versus matured Duvel

in BEERlast year

By the way, the last 10 days any of my posts isn't doing well... I wonder how comes... Before that I was consistently over 1,50, which I can live with for an #Actifit post, but now it's about the half for any post during the last 10 days.... !PIZZA !CTP

Maybe the low price of HIVE (about $0.30 each) has something to do with many deserving posts (and comments) not getting curated. 🤔 Even the #Ecency Hive account has less than 70% Voting Mana, so it needs to (very) carefully select posts (and comments) to curate. 🤓 !PIZZA !CTP

That's probably why neither my #BeerSaturday post from two weeks ago nor my current post about my bird is getting boosted or curated well. On the other hand, if good post don't get the curation they deserve, people will not be wanting to invest so much time in posting any more, there will be less new quality stuff, people will start to abandon... the end of Hive?... It's a circle... !PIZZA !CTP

Many people on Hive are hoping that even if they aren't getting enough votes for their good posts (and comments), the price of HIVE would rise significantly, and that would mean what used to be a few dollars for their posts would be worth much more when HIVE becomes more expensive. 🤓

Yeah...IF and WHEN... But if you consider how many people that I see curation every now and than that didn't post anything for the last 3-4 years... !PIZZA !CTP

I wonder whether you are referring to the Hive users who curate without having posted for the last 3 to 4 years, or the people who get curated after not posting for 3 to 4 years. 🤯😅 !PIZZA !CTP

I refer to the first category you're mentioning... !LUV !CTP

Maybe those that curate without posting or commenting have also one or more other Hive accounts that they use for posting/commenting (and curating for specific Hive tribes they like). 🤓 !LUV !CTP

....Meaning that they probably were very active for a while, and gave up on it because not really worth it, without loosing their believe that things once could change... So coming back every now and than to curate and if they're smart enough meanwhile doing some automatic upvoting... !PIZZA !CTP

It's also true that while a curator selects posts (and comments) to manually curate, they would also be able to determine by reading if they can go back to publishing posts too. 🤓

A curator who likes manually reading content to vote doesn't necessarily mean that they don't like automatic voting - they would enable automatic votes from their account as a safeguard that their Voting Mana won't just sit at 100% (and be subsequently wasted) by either following the curation trail of a Hive user with similar interests as them or getting added to the fanbase of their favorite authors. 😏 !LOLZ !CTP
