How we OFWs spend our Off-Days In Hong Kong!

in Hive PHlast month (edited)

Hi, Hive friends! Today I want to share another story about us OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) here in Hong Kong.
When there is a holiday, all overseas workers are looking for a nice spot to spend their time. Like I myself for example always go to church. If I want I can also stay at home in my room during a holiday because at least I have my own room in the house of my employers. No problem at all. But some workers here don't have any nice space when staying inside. For example they just don't have their own room or have to share it with their kids. Some have to sleep on a sofa. Therefore every holiday they must go out to find a place to relax.

I will show you some photos how some of these workers spend that time in tents to escape from their work places. They sleep there, rest and relax during their holidays.

That's no tent of course but just a very nice scenery, hehe!

Beautiful Park

And also look at this lovely park! I spent quite some time at this beautiful place together with my friends, and it felt so calm and relaxing. I just went there because in the church still were quite some activities taking place!

Santuario St. Thomas the Apostle Church

Oh yeah! That's where we are now. This beautiful church is the reason why I am here. Hehe!!! It's the St. Thomas the Apostle Church located in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong. We met there because of the 25th anniversary of the Mother Most Pure community.

Inside the church is so solemn, but I did not get a chance to take any pictures because I focused on meditation and praying.

25th Anniversary of Mother Most Pure

These are our beautiful memory photos together with active members and visitors of this community. The good thing is that while I am still here in Hong kong I can visit the different Catholic churches like doing a little pilgrimage.
