Your Safety is My Priority: DRRM Seminar-Worshop

in Hive PH27 days ago

Safety first as they say. Well, I agree with it. Whatever we do and wherever we go we need to take care of our safety. It is because we have our loved ones waiting for us at home.

As the school leader, I need to equip myself with proper training and workshops on how to face and keep safe in times of disaster. This is to ensure the safety of our learners as well as the whole school.

This time one of our big bosses in the Division gave a message to let us understand the purpose of our upcoming 3-day Seminar-Workshop for Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM).

There were lots of activities presented for us to dig deeper into how to prepare in times of disaster.

I also shared my opinion on how to act during Human human-induced calamities such as Fire.

There were two possible causes of disaster Natural Disaster and Human Induced Disaster.

Whether of the two mentioned above we need to be prepared all the time.

As a school leader, I need to be equipped with the process to face whatever disaster I encounter. That is why our department conducted this kind of training.

I am so glad that I attended this training. We were required to make a contingency plan for all possible calamities that would occur in our school.

We need to secure the lives of our learners. We are not just focusing on teaching alone for their future career but we need them to be safe all the time when they are in our hands.

As a teacher, we have a lot of responsibilities. We make a lot of sacrifices just to make our learners a better version of themselves. We almost forgot that we are not invincible. We have a lot of personal issues and concerns also.

However, due to our profession, we prioritize the lives of our learners. For example, in times of fire when it happens in our classroom. We need to be the last to evacuate just to ensure that all the learners are safe.

I know this is not an easy task to do but to help and to do what is needed to be done is a good deed.

I am just hoping that we give love and respect to all the teachers out there. We will support them to make their workload lesser.

Thank you everyone for dropping by. Keep safe always. Bye! Bye! 🥰🫰
