Getting to Know Me
Hi! I’m Vince Carl Abalo, but you can just call me Vinceyyy for short. I’m 17 years old.
And I currently living in Tinaan, City of Naga, Cebu—a place that shines beautifully at night, with warm and fresh air that makes you feel at home. If you have time, come visit my town!
I’m just an ordinary person trying to make the most out of life were not rich though . Like many of you, I have dreams, face struggles, and experience moments that shape me .
My Childhood
When I was a kid, life was simple yet fun. I still remember the time when I had to wear a thick costume during an event, and I looked so mad in the pictures because it was so hot! But my mother? She didn’t care about my complaints—she just kept taking photos of me, capturing every moment. Looking back, I realize how supportive she has always been. No matter how small the occasion, she was always there, cheering me on .
Childhood was full of laughter, running around with friends, and experiencing life without the stress of responsibilities . If I could go back, I’d relive those days, even just for a moment. But as we grow older, life becomes more complicated . That’s when we start to realize that every moment counts, and we should cherish every second .
Things That Make Me Happy
Life can be tough sometimes , but I’ve found happiness in the little things . Here are some of the things that keep me going :
- Playing Volleyball
One of my biggest passions is volleyball . It’s not just a game for me—it’s an escape . Whenever I play, I feel free, like all my worries disappear . And when my girlfriend is watching, my energy level just shoots up! I don’t know why, but I play even better when she’s there . Volleyball is my stress reliever, my way of relaxing my mind when life gets overwhelming .
When life throws problems at me, I hit them back like a volleyball spike . That’s how I see it, no matter how hard life gets, I just have to keep playing, keep moving, and never give up .
- My Love for my pet Dog
Aside from volleyball, I also love dogs . To me, they’re more than just pets—they’re family . Whenever I feel down, my dog is there, always happy to see me . And when things aren’t okay between me and my girlfriend, my dog is the one who stays by my side, offering comfort without even saying a word .
That’s the thing about dogs, they never betray us . They love us unconditionally, and sometimes, they understand us better than people do . If you have a dog, you know exactly what I mean .
My Journey in School
Junior High School Days
My junior high school years were tough. I didn’t want to fail, not just for myself but for my parents . I wanted to make them proud, and I worked hard to achieve that goal .
All the sleepless nights, stressful exams, and endless schoolwork paid off because I graduated with honors in Grade 10 . That was one of the biggest achievements of my life . Seeing my parents smile that day made everything worth it .
Senior High School and My Dreams
Now , I’m in Grade 12, studying at Tinaan National Senior High School . By the way that picture taken from a stranger and post in on Facebook that's where I get it. Now go back to the main topic hahah I chose the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand because my dream is to become an engineer someday .
But I’m also realistic .oh by the way that pic is from the page of CTU-NAGA EXTENSION CAMPUS FACEBOOK PAGE. I know that college tuition fees can be expensive, and I don’t want to pressure my parents too much . So, if we don’t have enough money for an engineering degree, I have a backup plan—I’ll take Bachelor of Industrial Technology at Cebu Technological University (CTU) Naga Extension Campus .
Life doesn’t always go as planned, but that’s okay . What matters is that I keep moving forward, no matter what path I
take .
Why Did I Decide to Join the Hive?
So, here’s the reason why I joined Hive. There was a time when my girlfriend, @derrayal, kept telling me about this platform where she could rant, express her thoughts, and learn from other people’s blogs. She always talked about how she found comfort in reading other people’s stories and how it helped her reflect on her own life .
I became curious and asked her if I could join . She was like, “Of course! Everyone is welcome!” That’s when I realized that maybe this is something I should try, too .
Writing has never been my strongest skill, but I believe that through blogging, I can improve my grammar, writing style, and ability to express my thoughts . And who knows? Maybe someone out there will read my stories and relate to them .
On March 11, 2025, there was an orientation led by Mr. @intoy.bugoy. I learned a lot from him. He explained what Hive is all about, the rules we need to follow, and how we can grow as bloggers. His talk inspired me even more.
I want to use this platform not just to share my thoughts but also to connect with people who have similar experiences . We all have our own struggles and victories, and sometimes, just reading someone else’s journey can make us feel less alone .
This is just the beginning of my journey in blogging, and I’m excited to share more of my experiences with you . Life is full of ups and downs, but what matters most is how we handle them .
