Hello everyone! Let me tell you about my climb of Squash Mountain.
Recently, my aunt from Cagayan de Oro, who is my father's sister, visited us. There but they came to Maramag, Bukidnon since her children had no classes.
They don’t visit us very much, so we wanted to do a lot of activities with my aunt’s children. We planned on having them a good time during their stay We made sure to utilize all of our time available because when they visit, they are only in town for 5 days max.
Today, we went to "SQUASH MOUNTAIN" since it's the nearest place here in our place where we can go. It's named Squash Mountain because it's looks like a squash.
It's so steep that once you're up there, you might not wish to try again. It is quite exhausting also; it took us around 1 hour to climb to the summit. My aunt's nephew, who was only 9 years old, also wanted to accompany us so we allowed him. But he wasn't accustomed to that type of trail, so he kept on slipping while descending. I did not know whether to laugh or pity him when he rolled down the grassy slope after he slipped.
I didn't really wish to join, but my aunt told us we should be bonded as cousins. There were quite a lot of us, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The place is very lovely if you want to catch the sunrise, and nice also in the afternoon. The atmosphere is so cool, you'd think that you can practically grab the clouds (just joking!).
Several people visit here, especially during Holy Week. There are also many adventure-seekers who come here.
You see what, folks? We packed tons of bread and water when we ascended, but before reaching the peak, we devoured everything. Just ascending is such a cause to get one intensely hungry and panting for air.
I believe this is just my second time climbing here. It's tiring, but when you get to the top, it's all going to be worth it. You can view the whole Maraymaray Doncarlos Bukidnon area where Squash Mountain is situated.
