Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben kendimi harika hissediyorum. Sadece biraz açtım fakat şu anda onun üzerine çalışıyorum. Çalışıyorum demişken, ben iş buldum. Bu yazı biraz daha bununla ilgili olacak bu yüzden de kısa olabilir ne yazık ki. Biraz sizlerle bu işe nasıl kabul edildiğimden bahsetmek istiyorum.
Geçtiğimiz hafta kardeşimin sevgilisi bana İnstagram üzerinde gördüğü ve Silivri merkezdeki Jolly Tour bünyesinde bayilik yapan bir yerin eleman aradığını söyledi. Geçen hafta Çarşamba günü ise ben bu işe başvurmak istediğimi söyledim.
Hatta adım ve soyadımdan önce nereden ve hangi bölüm mezunu olduğumdan bahsettim. Bence bunun Silivri gibi küçük bir yerde etkisi büyük. Bu cümlemin ardından ise bayi sahibi direkt beni mülâkata çağırdı. Geçtiğimiz Cumartesi günü ise benim için oldukça olumlu geçen ve onlar tarafından "Salı günü size haber vereceğiz." ile biten bir görüşme oldu.
Turizm ile olan ilgimin beni Silivri'de bir yerlere getirebileceğini bilmiyordum. Buna rağmen gözlerimi ne zaman bir acente önünden geçsem camlar üzerindeki ilanlarda gezdiriyordum.
Cumartesi gününden sonra bekleyişin beni gerdiğini söylemeliyim. Çünkü hem istediğim hem de ihtiyacım olan bir iş. Bir de düşünsenize hep yapmak istediğiniz mesleğe biraz daha yakınsınız.
Salı günü akşam üzeri bana tanımadığım bir numaradan arama geldi ama zaten beklediğim için açtım. Ben red mesajı beklerken bana "Beril Hanım, biz size Salı günü döneceğiz dedik ama Çarşamba kesin haber vereceğiz." dedi. Bu açıkçası beni sevindirdi çünkü bu direkt son adaylar arasındasınız demek. En azından ben öyle düşünüyorum.
Dün öğrendim ki gerçekten de öyleymişim. 4 aday arasından seçilme nedenlerim varmış fakat bunları paylaşmam uygun olmaz diye düşünüyorum.
Ben yine yarını beklemeye başlamışken Salı akşamı tekrar arandım ve işe alındığım söylendi! Benim için çok büyük bir mutluluktu. Jolly Tour'un bünyesine kabul edilmişim. İçimde havai fişekler patladı desem yeridir. Ayrıca bana söylediler ki yarın (şimdi için dün) 10'da gelip başlayabilirmişim.
Dün başladım da. İlk günüm Beyza Hanım sayesinde oldukça rahat ve öğretici geçti. Sistemler ve fatura kesme gibi bir çok şeyi öğrendim. Hatta dün ilk biletimi dahi kestim. Bence harika bir ilk gündü.
Şimdi ise saat 8.28. Şu anda bu yazıyı yazıyorum çünkü akşam eve geç geliyorum ve haftada sadece 1 gün iznim olacak. Sabah 9, akşam 18:30 gibi bir mesaim var. Biraz uzun gibi görünebilir fakat gün içerisinde bunu hissetmiyorum bile. Sadece eve geri döndüğümde mental olarak yorgun olmak zor.

I hope you’re all doing well, or are trying to be well. I’m feeling wonderful myself. Just a little hungry, but I’m working on that at the moment. Speaking of working — I found a job! This post will be mostly about that, so it might be a bit shorter than usual. I just wanted to tell you how I got accepted.
Last week, my brother’s girlfriend told me about a place in Silivri town centre — a local agency operating under Jolly Tour — that was looking for staff. On Wednesday, I said I wanted to apply for the job.
Before even giving my name and surname, I mentioned where I graduated from and my field of study. I think that makes quite an impression in a small place like Silivri. Right after I said that, the branch owner invited me for an interview. The interview took place last Saturday and went very well. They ended it by saying, “We’ll get back to you on Tuesday.”
I didn’t know that my interest in tourism could actually get me somewhere here in Silivri. Still, every time I walked past a travel agency, I’d always find myself looking at the adverts in their windows.
After Saturday, the waiting really made me nervous. It’s a job I both wanted and needed. Just imagine — being that close to the profession you’ve always dreamed of doing.
On Tuesday evening, I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise — but since I’d been expecting it, I answered right away. I was bracing myself for rejection, but instead they said, “Ms Beril, we told you we’d get back to you on Tuesday, but we’ll give you a definite answer on Wednesday.”
That honestly made me happy, because that meant I was among the final candidates — or at least that’s what I thought.
And as it turns out, I was right. There were four candidates in total, and apparently there were reasons why they chose me — though I don’t think it’d be appropriate to share those here.
Just when I’d started waiting again for the next day, they called back on Tuesday evening and told me I’d been accepted! It was such a huge moment of joy for me. I’d officially been hired under Jolly Tour! I felt as if fireworks were going off inside me. They also said I could start the very next day (which is now yesterday) at 10 a.m.
And I did start yesterday. My first day went smoothly and was very instructive, thanks to Ms Beyza. I learnt a lot about the systems and how to issue invoices — I even printed my first ticket! I think that’s a pretty great first day, don’t you?
Right now, it’s 8:28 in the morning. I’m writing this post before work, since I get home quite late in the evenings and only have one day off a week. My working hours are from 9 a.m. to around 6:30 p.m. It might sound a bit long, but I honestly don’t feel it during the day. The only challenge is the mental fatigue once I’m back home.

I was just thinking positive , honnestly the longest i stayed with one company is 3.5 years , i have had over 60 differend jobs in my life .

Açıkçası aklımda Jolly'nin Hindistan ayağı var mı diye bir bakmak vardı. Olmasa da bile buradan referansla ayrılmak iyi olur. Şu anda Türkiye'nin en büyüğü sonuçta. Diğer markalara daha çok alibaba gibi her yerden toplama işler yapıyorlar ama Jolly biraz daha kurumsal diğerlerine göre. Büyük ihtimalle referans alabilirim diye düşünüyorum.
