Ya se jugaron los compromisos internacionales correspondiente al mes de marzo y ahora las ligas nacionales reanudan su actividad. En el caso de la Premier Legue tiene dos derbys muy llamativos. Por favor, acompáñame a analizarlos.
CHELSEA vs. TOTTENHAM
CHELSEA está actualmente en el cuarto puesto de la liga a pesar de haber perdido su último duelo frente al Arsenal 1-0. Allí cortó su racha positiva de dos victorias seguidas y sigue logrando lo mínimo para quedarse en los puestos que conceden el boleto a la próxima Champions League. Sin embargo, constantemente vive la inquietud de lo que hace el Manchester City en la batalla por esos privilegiados lugares. Sus actuaciones siguen teniendo una nube oscura que se posa sobre ellos de pronto, coartando su iniciativa y buen juego. Este equipo joven sigue teniendo difultades para ser consistente y sólido. El último episodio de esa índole vino la semana pasada cuando perdieron 3-0 frente a la selección SUB-21 como parte de su entrenamiento pautado. Esto preocupó a su entrenador, el cual decidió intensificar los entrenamientos en lo subsiguiente. La buena noticia es que en los entrenamientos más recientes han contado con la presencia de Palmer y Madueke, los cuales se espera que estén disponibles en éste encuentro del jueves. También, es posible que Jackson también vea minutos en éste importante derby.
TOTTENHAM ha vuelto a perder, ésta vez frente a otro equipo de Londres, como lo es el Fulham, 2-0, alargando su racha negativa a tres partidos sin ganar. Actualmente ocupa el puesto número 14 de la tabla de posiciones con muy pocas probabilidades de meterse en las competiciones continentales de la próxima temporada. La última victoria que lograron en la liga fue el 22 de febrero, hace más de un mes, frente al Ipswich. Con todo, sus números no son tan malos en algunos departamentos. Son el segundo equipo más goleador del campeonato, con 55 goles, al igual que el Manchester City. Es el segundo equipo que más ha anotado de contraataque, con diez. Su disciplina ha sido buena, siendo el tercer equipo que menos tarjetas amarillas ha recibido. Con todo, la falta de buenos resultados y no poder sostener los resultados positivos han hecho que los spurs estén actualmente en esa segunda mitad de la tabla. Ahora tendrán el rol de visitante, donde han logrado cinco victorias, un empate y ocho derrotas.
Éste derby de Londres se jugó en casa del Tottenham en la jornada 15, terminando en victoria para el Chelsea. Ahora, en Stamford Bridge, el Tottenham tiene seis partidos sin ganar en ese escenario.
LIVERPOOL vs. EVERTON
LIVERPOOL sigue liderando la liga y logró su tercera victoria seguida, dando cuenta del Southampton 3-1 en Anfield. Hay mucho ruido con el tema de los traspasos y renovaciones para la próxima temporada. Se de por hecho que Alexander - Arnold hará sus maletas en verano rumbo a España. Además, hay una incognita con la renovación de los elementos de la ofensiva, tales como Salah, Luís Diaz y Darwin Nuñez. Lo bueno es que, aparentemente, la meta justo ahora es ganar los partidos venideros en la liga y los aspectos legales vendrán después, con una mentalidad diferente y menos presión por el campeonato. El Liverpool se aferra a obtener la Premier League luego de caer en todas las demás competiciones. Para ello, vuelve a jugar en casa donde ha tenido un estupendo desempeño, perdiendo apenas siete puntos de los cuarenta y dos puntos disputados. Los reds saben de que unas pocas victorias más y podrán proclamarse campeones de éste año.
EVERTON empató por cuarta vez seguida en la Premier League, ésta vez frente al West Ham 1-1. Ésto ha hecho que permanezca en el puesto 15 de la tabla de posiciones. David Moyes llegó a dirigir a éste equipo en enero de éste año y parece estar logrando el objetivo de alejarlos de la zona del descenso. A pesar de que actualmente está solo una posición más arriba de donde tomó al equipo, la diferencia de puntos es mayor y hay sólidas esperanzas de sobrevivir en ésta campaña. Desde que Moyes está en el club ha logrado cuatro victorias, cinco empates y apenas una derrota. Ahora le toca ser visitante, donde ésta temporada ha tenido apenas 3 victorias, 6 empates y 5 derrotas. Sin embargo, estamos hablando del derby de Merseyside, que se juega y vive de forma muy diferente. Tanto es así que en el estadio de Goodinson Park han sustituido el característico color rojo del ketchup de tomate por una color azul, para no tener ninguna alusión a su rival de ciudad. Bueno, ésta vez se jugará en Anfield, así que seguro los frankfurts tendrán sus colores tradicionales.
Las últimas tres veces que se ha jugado el derby de Merseyside en Anfield han tenido el mismo marcador: 2-0 a favor del Liverpool. Sin embargo, en la fecha 15, ambos pactaron un empate en Goodinson Park.
EL JUGADOR
OMAR MARMOUSH es uno de los jugadores que llegó al Manchester City en éste invierno y ha gustado su intensidad y técnica. Es uno de los encargados de la ofensiva en los extremos. Sin embargo, ante la lesión de Haaland, está por verse el rol que asumirá éste egipcio en los próximos compromisos. Ya demostró estar al nivel requerido cuando el fin de semana sustituyó al delantero estrella y pocos minutos después pudo anotar para darle cifra definitiva al encuentro. En la Premier League acumula siete apariciones, de las cuales seis han sido desde el inicio del partido. Seguramente veremos abultarse más éste número al pasar las semanas.
Habrá otro derby en Londres, cuando en el Emirates se enfrenten el Arsenal y el Fulham mañana martes. Otro bonito encuentro será protagonizado entre el Forest y el Manchester United, ambos necesitando obtener puntos para lograr sus objetivos trazados. ¡Disfrutemos el fútbol!

En esta fecha podemos ver el final de Postecoglou, pues el Chelsea y el Tottenham son dos equipos actualmente en necesidad, con una temporada muy irregular, rozando lo decepcionante. El australiano empezó muy bien el año pasado, pero su proyecto se desinfló, y aunque están lejos del descenso, con la plantilla que tienen, deberían al menos luchar por los puestos europeos.
El Derby de Merseyside es uno de los más históricos en la Premier, y aunque soy más afín con el Everton, el Liverpool está en un momento dulce en la liga, por lo que no espero otra cosa que no sea victoria de los de Slot, que tal vez en 4 fechas, si siguen con este nivel, también podrán alzar el trofeo con cierta facilidad.
La verdad, está Premier es de las más raras de los últimos años jajaja. Saludos!
Inédito lo que se está viviendo. Efectivamente en Londres ambos están necesitados y se espera que muestren empeño en conseguir que la balanza se incline a su favor.
