He didn't just post images and tag #photography. The post isn't about the images it's about the text, if the text is plagiarised/spun then sure prove it and I'll join in on downvoting it. Other than that let the people claiming they can't use certain images deal with the images being taken down. They're stored on front-ends or on image storing servers of the front-ends after all, not on the blockchain.
He's not being rewarded FOR the images, it's for the text. You can use images as banners or relevance to the text to make the post look better. It's really not rocket science unless you are trying to get on my nerves on purpose then great fucking job.

Since it's images he may not legally use it's in the hands of the owner to take actions against him and/or the front-ends/the storage of the images. People share these stuff on Reddit daily, soccer subreddits share gifs and an hour or so later the gifs are taken down, the person who posted them isn't the one receiving any consequences even if the main thing was the gif that wasn't legal to be used, it's the website or the server storing it that takes care of DMCA's or legal issues with the content.
Yet here you want to punish someone for content he used where the content wasn't the main thing people were curating his post for.
That means that in my next post I can use an image from wherever I want and not put the source and/or I don't care if it is forbidden by the owners, I still won't give a damn, and nobody will come here in Hive (including the aforementioned protagonist of this whole dilemma or the nice guys from Hive Watchers, or some other self-appointed "watchers" and "defenders" of Hive, like thugs to give me downvote or leave me threatening or offensive messages since, after all, my main content is the text and not that image.
If they are here and you've taken the images from someone who is active here and giving them credit then I don't see a problem with it, of course it would be nice since beneficiaries are in place if you gave them a little reward as well which is the main idea of the stock photo community. I don't see why you would have to. He's in his full right to send the front-ends a DMCA and report you to the authorities if he wants but other than that it shouldn't be a hivewatcher or community issue to downvote you based on images used in a post where the images are just there for the story/text.
