Dato: El título dice “ojos” porque mi mamá siempre se refirió a sus lentes de viejita como sus ojos ya que sin ellos no podía ver nada, con frases célebres como:

Cuando estaba en bachillerato usé lentes una temporada hasta que me cansé o más bien no me acostumbré a ellos, además no tenía mucho aumento y los usaba solo para leer y para descansar la vista.
Conforme pasaban los años y debido a mi trabajo pasaba todo el día, todos los días forzando la vista para ver las partituras y fui notando una degradación en mi visión pero no le había prestado mucha atención. Por otro lado mi novio, quien pasa todo el día frente a la computadora, ya estaba preocupado y cansado de su mala visión.
When I was in high school I wore glasses for a while until I got tired or rather I didn't get used to them, besides I didn't have much magnification and I used them only to read and to rest my eyes.
As the years went by and due to my job I spent all day, every day forcing my eyes to see the music sheets and I noticed a degradation in my vision but I had not paid much attention to it. On the other hand, my boyfriend, who spends all day in front of the computer, was already worried and tired of his bad vision.
Hace meses estábamos buscando el presupuesto para que él se hiciera la prueba de la vista y los lentes cerca de donde vivimos, no muy convencidos de los precios e igual no teníamos el dinero disponible.
Hasta hace dos semanas que encontramos una óptica con las tres “B” (buena, bonita y barata). Unos trabajos habían salido bien, a mi novio le mandaron un dinero de regalo y por mi parte unos post de calidad fueron bien recompensados así que motivado a que Ed necesitaba unos lentes también decidí tomar la oportunidad y el viernes 14 de mayo finalmente fuimos a hacernos el examen de la vista.
Months ago we were looking for the budget for him to have his eyesight test and glasses done near where we live, not very convinced of the prices and we didn't have the money available.
Until two weeks ago we found an optician good, nice and cheap (three B's in spanish). Some work had gone well, my boyfriend received some money as a gift and for my part some quality posts were well rewarded so motivated by Ed's need for glasses I decided to take the opportunity and on Friday May 14th we finally went for our eyesight exam.

Fuimos a la Óptica La Antigua ubicada en el pueblo de San Antonio de Los Altos, Edo. Miranda. Los trabajadores son sumamente amables, profesionales y atentos, me gustó mucho el lugar y el especialista que me hizo el examen era un hombre respetuoso, que explicaba cada paso del examen con claridad.
We went to Optica La Antigua located in the town of San Antonio de Los Altos, Miranda State. The workers are extremely friendly, professional and attentive, I really liked the place and the specialist who did my exam was a respectful man, who explained each step of the exam clearly.

Ojo Derecho: 0.25 astismatismo

El astigmatismo ocurre cuando la superficie frontal del ojo (córnea) o el lente, dentro del ojo, tiene curvas irregulares. En lugar de tener una curva como una pelota redonda, la superficie es ovalada. Esto provoca una visión borrosa a cualquier distancia.
Right Eye: 0.25 astismatism

Astigmatism occurs when the front surface of the eye (cornea) or the lens inside the eye has irregular curves. Instead of having a curve like a round ball, the surface is oval. This causes blurred vision at any distance.
Resulta que mi vista no está tan mal pero me recomendaron usar los lentes para corregir mi visión y prefiero comenzar ahora que tenía para costearlo y más porque ahora paso muchas horas frente a una pantalla, tanto del teléfono como la computadora. Mi mayor queja es que no veía bien de lejos.
It turns out that my eyesight is not that bad but I was recommended to use glasses to correct my vision and I prefer to start now that I had to pay for it and more because now I spend many hours in front of a screen, both phone and computer. My biggest complaint was that I couldn't see clearly at a distance.

El lunes 17 de mayo regresamos a la óptica para escoger nuestras monturas y mandar a poner los cristales. No lo hicimos el mismo día porque pensamos en buscar unas monturas en vez de comprar unas nuevas pero no las encontramos. Nos entregaron los lentes este sábado 22, me pareció súper rápido y ahora lo que toca es acostumbrarse.
On Monday, May 17, we went back to the optician to pick out our frames and have the lenses put in. We didn't do it the same day because we thought about looking for frames instead of buying new ones but we couldn't find them. The lenses were delivered this Saturday 22nd, I thought it was super fast and now it's time to get used to them.

I am very happy with my new glasses, the frame is beautiful and I will try as much as possible to wear them all the time and take care of them. I hope they last. I will come back later to tell you my experience with the lenses.
