Salute! Hive Blockchain

in Loving HIVE ❤2 years ago (edited)

Thanks! @hivebuzz for this 2-year Happy Birthday Badge. I'm pleased to be celebrating my 2nd [Hive] birthday...

Booyaka Booyaka! Hive, ya da best!!!

"HIVE: The best blogging platform, that's worth investing time, and other resources on, with some rewards in return.

I'm loving Hive" 💕

To say that I was skeptical at the beginning of my Hive journey is an understatement.

I was old-schooled media and held onto the notion that "new media" (social media) was all about being self-absorbed and self-promoting - a big no-no in old-schooled public relations.

Old-school Media:

Human Interest + Networking + Content Creating + Networking + Time = Little to No Success.

I endlessly made "cold calls" to media houses. I wasted plenty of time following up on content that was submitted by snail-mail, courier, and email, and occasionally I would be lucky to get a hold of the addressee. I would seek feedback and ask for an estimated time when articles would be published.
I spent hours preparing press kits and press releases, that were mailed to agencies, who sometimes (most times) never received them, or never bothered to open them.
All that material went straight to the existing junk mail that often became recycled paper for companies.

The imperative task of following up

It was soul-destroying picking up that phone...

I sometimes hoped for a recorded voicemail, to save me from having to listen to the lies, excuses, and empty promises from media personnel (equivalent to what is now communities and community leaders on hive), seeking an approximate time on when my articles might be published. I'd purchase newspapers turning the pages with my articles nowhere to be seen.

Yet, I held on to that old belief.

I woke up and smelled the coffee... Thank goodness!

I dabbled with prominent blogging platforms, but I found nothing but emptiness.

Then came Hive!

I tested the waters one toe at a time. I was one foot in, and I lingered. Unsure, intrigued, marveled, and blown away by the scope of what Hive, an established platform had to offer.

I quickly realised that there were many areas where I had skills that I could apply.

Hive gave me light.

HIVE has made cultivating an audience simpler!

Content creating + Effort + Time + Engaging + Effort + Creativity + Engaging = Some Success

A place to blog about hobbies and share ideas
    A place to apply skills
A place to learn new ideas
A place to broaden my horizon
A [safe] place to interact and meet people
A place where you get a monetary reward in return

And More❗️

I struggled to conceptualize writing more than two sentences about myself; any activity that I was involved in, embarked on, or on what was on my agenda, for no other reason than I tend to be a closed book.

Hive gave me a new perspective, and I started to see blogging as a way for me to record a part of my history that shows photos and words: filled with true, raw emotions of my life experiences.

Hive has opened me up, and it has also filled a void; Honestly, not only a gap, Hive has given me an overhaul of my life, and a sense of purpose in a virtual world.

Nothing in life is constant, and I'm constantly reinventing myself to avoid stagnation, and Hive is the perfect facilitator.

I heard the saying that if you want to learn more about yourself, write: well, Hive has proven that to be true. I have learned more about myself from Hive. Hive is a broad community with diverse cultures and personalities.

I have encountered some interesting people that I never would have done without Hive. My interests have diversified, and I continue to be amazed by all the different authors, and the various ways people find creative ways to present their blogs, their voices, and styles.

All that I have given and gained in return makes it feel like a far longer time than 2 years.

There's never a dull day in the hive. Regardless of fluctuations in monetary value, I still believe that Hive is the future.

A few weeks ago I had a new member pop by my coffee community to share a post. He looked tiny, so I checked his profile. In his introduction post he stated that he is 12 years old. That's when I thought: #TwelveYearOldIntoCrypto

#HiveIsRad ‼️

Kudos @eollarvesm
#BigUpMyYouth

I continue to encourage and introduce people to Hive, and I appreciate the efforts of all onboarders. I enjoy spending time on Hive, whether it be from my two growing communities Cinnamon Cup Coffee and The Minimalist, curating, engaging, voting, and of course creating my blogs.

I thank everyone and other curators and those that see value in my work. I take pride and will continue to do so. I tend to respond to all comments, not just as a habit, but because I'm truly grateful and appreciative of your efforts, and I understand and see the value in what you do.

As they say;

"One hand cannot clap."

Hive is all about working together to build and sustain the ecosystem.

I'm excited and looking forward to celebrating many more years on Hive, and I will share this post on other blogging platforms, as people do read, learn different sides of me, and are curious to know what is this platform called Hive.

Cheers to many more years 🍾

One Love ❤️💛💚

Hello dear friend, thank you very much for mentioning me in your publication, I feel really flattered that you took me as an example. First of all I want to give you my most sincere congratulations on reaching your goals and having already two years in hive. I hope to become as good as you're in creating wonderful things as in the coffee community. I want to tell you that yes I am 12 years old, I have a YouTube channel since 2015, at first my parents managed it, but since I learned to play Minecraft, and I also learned to handle HTML codes I manage it myself, I edit and upload my videos since 2020, now I do it for @3speak, a site that fascinates me, these days I'm finishing my elementary school studies, in August I will be in high school, and I will continue doing much more content for Hive, discovering new things and communities that have welcomed me opening the doors to young people like me `for which I am very grateful. I send you my best wishes for success and lots of love, again thank you for so much.

Such a nice reply 😊... but thank YOU!
We need to see more persons like you on the blockchain.
With all the pressures of social media, I think this is a healthy avenue for you to explore and develop your creativity.

I love learning from youngsters. You remind me of my stepson @kaykeys who blew me away with his sports commentary and reports at 9 years old. He only just joined Hive and is getting a feel of how things work.

I am ecstatic for you 🤗

It's no joke, but what you are doing is amazing, and I will check out your other work.
I'm sure your parents have the confidence in your potential; the reason why you got their approval.

There's so much you can learn on the hive, and I'll pop by your profile now and then just to see what's going on in your world:))))

Respect!

Woow can't believe your stepson has Luffy as his profile picture, One Piece and Dragon Ball are my favorite anime since I was very little, surely we will be good friends.

That's funny! Great minds think alike.

See, something new that I just learned to explore more of:)

That's what I love most about Hive:))))

Hehe you may like the @strawhat profile pic as well then. :D

@acidyo Hi I hope this very well, thank you very much for the suggestion, heh, heh, heh, heh and for the kindness of telling me to check the profile, I loved the picture of the user @strawhat and I followed him too. Luffy is one of my favorite characters, soon I will publish a drawing of One Piece in sketchbook and I will dedicate it to you for helping me so much and welcome me with open arms in hive.

Ah ha, exploration time @eollarvesm. You just might like "strawhat" profile indeed. I recall hearing @scubahead and @kaykeys playing Grand Theft Auto many years ago :-)))

ha ha ha ha, ok I will get to explore a lot to know the users that are telling me and so follow them and create many friends as fanatic as me to One Piece thank you very much for the suggestion.

First of all congratulations and secondly we arrived almost at the same time to HIVE I turned two years from May 25, like you I entered HIVE with doubts and did not believe much, my interest was more monetary than anything else, but getting here changed me in many ways and like you I love to see other cultures and customs through the publications.

Finally you have left me with my mouth open with this:

A few weeks ago, a new member popped up in my coffee community to share a post. He seemed tiny, so I checked out his profile. In his introductory post , he stated that he is 12 years old. That's when I thought, #TwelveYearOldIntoCrypto.

This is proof that this world is growing and evolving and that there is a great future here.

Belated HBD to you 🎉

Hive brings worlds together. I've interacted with so many from your part of the world and many other places. Everyone had similar yet different experiences which I find so inspiring.

This is proof that this world is growing and evolving and that there is a great future here.

I'm telling you! I could not believe it. We need him on the blockchain...instead of falling into the superficial world of other blogging platforms.

Best wishes and I hope you'll continue to embrace all the different aspects of what Hive has to offer. ((H)))

Forgot to reply earlier but happy cakeday and thanks for being here and all the great work you do with your communities and curation all around!

Thank you very much 😊
This is highly appreciated 🙏
It's my pleasure, always!
"One one cocoa full basket."...and I hope to be here for a long time :)))))

Thinking positively is something that I train my brain to do, and ensure that I'm not influenced by the energies of others. Therefore I find your comment touching. Thanks for all the Luv and tokens:)))

Congratulations! Also, have a digital !BEER whether you partake of the liquid form or not.

Thank you so much @jacobtothe. Beer! yum yum😋...always a good idea :))))

Huh. The command didn't work. I tried editing out the comma. No update yet. Let's try just putting it in a new line.

!BEER

Ah 😁

Let's see. Didn't realise just how sensitive the commands are:)

Thanks!

I don't why it isn't updating. Weird. Maybe the bot is kaput?

Maybe?!
Some weird things have been happening though. PeakD finally came back after being down for me this morning with an error report that I've never seen before.

Fingers crossed :)

Hi Milly!

Congratulations on your two years on Hive. For me blogging on Hive has also been a great discovery. In my non-virtual life, I am quite introverted. But writing has helped me to let myself be carried away by emotions and to tell aspects of myself and my life that not even my non-virtual friends know, and that has been a great experience. In addition, all the valuable relationships that I have been establishing in the blockchain are so valuable, and if you add to that we are also rewarded for doing it. Hive is more than a winning site with huge possibilities.

So here's to your second anniversary and many more to come! Cheers! 🥂

Hi @coquicoin
First of all, I'm typing using Hive Blog for the first time, because my PeakD will not load...feels and look strange.

Thank you very much 😊

But writing has helped me to let myself be carried away by emotions and to tell aspects of myself and my life that not even my non-virtual friends know, and that has been a great experience.

I totally get that! I'm not really introverted or extroverted, it depends on my mood and the energy I get from my surroundings or the people around me...But generally, I don't let people in, because I think whatever goes on in my life, it's my responsibility to improve it. haha! But I've met some amazing people here. I continue to marvel about some, whether it's their geographical local, and contrasting paths to life that they've lived compared to mind, different mindsets and all. That's what makes Hive so beautiful to me.
You have an interesting 'tribe', who have established yourselves on Hive with booming accounts that you each are building on your own, and I have the utmost respect for that (haha, the 3 of you...I won't drop names here:)))

Thanks for stopping by, and have a nice day:))))

I wish you many more years on Hive too:)

Hmm, I'm getting the hang of this Hive Blog ...

Hi Milly!

Peakd has been weird since yesterday. Maybe there are some updates ongoing.

I also love how Hive gave me the chance to meet people with mindsets sometimes so different from mine but with whom I can share and get along so well.

(haha, the 3 of you...I won't drop names here:)))

not needed, LOL 😍😂

hehe, when Peakd is not working, I prefer to use Ecency than Hive blog ;)

Have a lovely Wednesday 🤗 And congrats again on your Hive HBD 😄
