Today I had a jewelry-making class that I really enjoyed. I was excited from the moment I arrived because I knew we would be working with rings, a technique that really appeals to me because of the patience and detail it requires. We started by using six-in-one pliers, a very practical tool because it allows you to make rings of various sizes without too much hassle. Using 18-gauge wire, I carefully coiled it into a kind of spring, maintaining tension so that the coils were even and neat. Then, with the cutting pliers, I separated each ring one by one, trying to avoid deforming them when cutting.📿
As I progressed, I noticed how each piece was taking shape. I had to pay attention to the thickness of the wire, the size, and the closure of each ring so that the final result would look consistent. Once I had several ready, I began to assemble what the teacher called “rosettes.” Each one had seven rings joined together, creating a small, very pretty circular shape. Then, using smaller rings, I gathered and secured each rosette so that it would stay in place. It was a repetitive but relaxing process. I really enjoyed it!💫

Hoy tuve una clase de bisutería que disfruté muchísimo. Desde que llegué estaba emocionada, porque sabía que trabajaríamos con argollas, una técnica que me llama mucho la atención por la paciencia y el detalle que requiere. Comenzamos utilizando las pinzas seis en uno, una herramienta muy práctica porque permite hacer varios tamaños de argollas sin complicarse demasiado. Con alambre número 18, fui enrollando cuidadosamente hasta formar una especie de resorte, manteniendo la tensión para que las vueltas quedaran parejas y prolijas. Después, con la pinza de corte, fui separando cada argolla una por una, tratando de evitar que se deformaran al cortar.📿
A medida que avanzaba, fui notando cómo cada pieza iba tomando forma. Había que prestar atención al grosor del alambre, al tamaño y al cierre de cada argolla para que el resultado final se viera consistente. Una vez tenía varias listas, comencé a armar lo que la profesora llamó “rosetas”. Cada una llevaba siete argollas unidas entre sí, creando una pequeña figura circular muy bonita. Luego, con argollitas más pequeñas, fui recogiendo y asegurando cada roseta para que quedara firme. Fue un proceso repetitivo, pero relajante. ¡Me gustó mucho!💫

I ended up making seven rosettes in total. For me, that number was perfect for creating a bracelet with good balance and presence. Once I started joining them together, I could better visualize the final result. I liked seeing how each rosette linked smoothly to the next, forming an elegant and eye-catching chain. I thought the bracelet was spectacular, full of sparkling details and with a very distinctive personality.💫
The teacher came over and congratulated me on my work, but she also suggested I make a change to the clasp. She recommended using a double clasp to add even more presence and reinforce the bracelet's personality. I thought it was a good idea because it would improve the finish and make it safer to wear. I thanked her for the advice, and we decided that we would work on that change in the next class.🌸📿
It was a very enjoyable and productive class. I liked learning how to use the tools precisely, taking advantage of every detail, and seeing how a set of rings could be turned into an elegant piece. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, the conversation, and the patience required for each step. Now I'm excited to continue, make that change to the clasp, and try to make this same bracelet, but adding stones to make it different.✨
Terminé haciendo siete rosetas en total. Para mí, ese número fue perfecto para formar una pulsera con buen equilibrio y presencia. Ya cuando empecé a unirlas entre sí, pude visualizar mejor el resultado final. Me gustó ver cómo cada roseta se enlazaba suavemente con la siguiente, formando una cadena elegante y vistosa. La pulsera me pareció espectacular, llena de detalles brillantes y con una personalidad muy marcada.💫
La profesora se acercó y me felicitó por el trabajo, aunque también me sugirió hacer un cambio en el broche. Me recomendó poner uno doble, para agregarle aún más presencia y reforzar la personalidad de la pulsera. Me pareció una buena idea, porque mejoraría el acabado y la seguridad al usarla. Le agradecí el consejo y decidimos que en la próxima clase trabajaríamos en ese cambio.🌸📿
Fue una clase muy agradable y productiva. Me gustó aprender a usar las herramientas de manera precisa, aprovechar cada detalle y ver cómo un conjunto de argollas podía convertirse en una pieza elegante. Además, disfruté el ambiente, la conversación y la paciencia que requiere cada paso. Ahora estoy emocionada por continuar, hacerle ese cambio al broche e intentar hacer esta misma pulsera, pero agregándole piedras para hacerla diferente.✨
