Como parte del concurso de joyería inspirada en la primavera por parte de la comunidad de @jewelry se me ocurrió hacer un anillo rústico ajustable con una flor, este es un proyecto rápido y sencillo si dominas las técnicas de orfebrería, dentro de las técnicas usadas, está el calado sobre metal y la soldadura, en parte también el moldear un poco con las pinzas.
As part of the spring-inspired jewelry contest by the @jewelry community, I thought of making an adjustable rustic ring with a flower. This is a quick and easy project if you master goldsmithing techniques, within the techniques used, There is the cutting on metal and the welding, partly also the molding a little with the tweezers.
Para este proyecto use mayormente recortes de material que tenía a mano, aquí igual te nombro los que use:
- Lámina de bronce 0.25 mm, hilo de cobre de 1.3 mm
- Lima de joyería
- Segueta y pelos de segueta 2/0
- Dremel
- Lija 390
- Marcador
- Pinzas de joyería
- Fresa de punta de diamante y con piedra
- Cera de pulir
- Soldadura Harris 5% plata, soplete, borax
- Fresa con mopa de algodón para pulir.
For this project I used mostly scraps of material that I had on hand, here I will still name the ones I used:
- 0.25 mm bronze sheet, 1.3 mm copper wire
- Jewelry file
- Saw blade and saw hairs 2/0
- Dremel
- Sandpaper 390
- Bookmark
- Jewelry tweezers
- Diamond tip bur with stone
- Polishing wax
- Harris solder 5% silver, torch, borax
- Milling cutter with cotton mop for polishing.
PASOS
Agarre un recorte de lámina de bronce de 0.25 mm que tenía cerca y dibujo con marcador la forma base de la flor; primero hago una especie de estrella de 5 líneas, pero después completo pasando el marcador, posteriormente con la segueta y la sierra 2/0 bordeo la silueta de la flor, finalmente hago el corte de las líneas que dividen los pétalos.
I grabbed a piece of 0.25 mm bronze sheet that I had nearby and drew the base shape of the flower with a marker; First I make a kind of star with 5 lines, but then I complete it by passing the marker, then with the saw and the 2/0 saw I border the silhouette of the flower, finally I make the cut of the lines that divide the petals.
Voy a la piedra de soldar y entre la forma de flor grande y la pequeña coloque soldadura y bórax, soldé con el soplete, después corte un pedazo de bronce y le di fuego para volver una bola, usando bórax que es un fundente; esta bola la coloque sobre la forma de flor y aplique la soldadura y nuevamente soldé con el fuego del soplete, por último voltee la pieza aplique nuevamente la soldadura y por último coloque el alambre de cobre para soldar, para asi tener la base del anillo.
I go to the soldering stone and between the large flower shape and the small one, place solder and borax, I solder with the blowtorch, then I cut a piece of bronze and fired it to turn it into a ball, using borax, which is a flux; I placed this ball on the flower shape and applied the solder and again soldered with the flame of the blowtorch, finally, turn the piece over, apply the solder again and finally place the copper wire to solder, in order to have the base of the ring.
Ya soldada la flor al hilo de cobre que será la base del anillo, toca usar el mandril y empezar a dar forma al aro, usando un martillo, también con las pinzas a final del alambre hice un pequeño dobles de adorno, qué aplaste con dándole golpes con el martillo.
Once the flower has been soldered to the copper wire that will be the base of the ring, it is time to use the mandrel and begin to shape the ring, using a hammer. Also with the tweezers at the end of the wire I made a small double ornament, which I crushed by giving it blows with the hammer.
Golpee el aro con un martillo no solo para redondear el aro, sino también para darle un toque texturizado, además fui moldeando con la pinza redonda la flor, fui poco. A poco moviendo la pieza a ver como quedaba además de poner a una medida adecuada; después usando el Dremel y con la fresa punta de diamante y una de piedra fui quintado excesos y los chamuscados del fuego, para mejorar los resultados pase lija número 360, para último pasar con el Dremel empleando una fresa con una mopa de algodón con un poco de cera de pulir para darle brillo a la flor.
I hit the ring with a hammer not only to round the ring, but also to give it a textured touch. I also molded the flower with the round tweezers, it was only a little. Little by little moving the piece to see how it looked in addition to putting it to an appropriate size; Afterwards, using the Dremel and with the diamond-tipped burr and a stone burr, I removed excess and scorched parts from the fire. To improve the results, I applied sandpaper number 360. Lastly, I passed with the Dremel using a burr with a cotton mop with a little bit. of polishing wax to give shine to the flower.
Este es el resultado final de este anillo ajustable de flor rústico con la mezcla de dos materiales cobré y bronce. además, quedo con unos toques oscuros, teniendo la belleza de lo imperfecto y lo orgánico, como la misma naturaleza.
This is the final result of this rustic flower adjustable ring with the mixture of two materials copper and bronze. In addition, I am left with some dark touches, having the beauty of the imperfect and the organic, like nature itself.

Aprendí hace tiempo en un curso básico de orfebrería, me gustaría retomar mas adelante porque como dije en el comentario anterior para mi es alquimia total, quizás en algún momento publique algo y te aviso, un abrazo.
