Since they will probably be damaged by rain, we decided to apply persimmon tannin to prevent corrosion, and once it is completely dry, we will protect them by spraying water repellent on top.
This board is a shelf shelf from a shelf I bought when I was 18 years old and starting to live alone, to put all sorts of things in my room.
It was quite large at 40cm x 90cm, had about 6 shelves and was quite high.

今、室内菜園を実践していて、比較的日当たりが良く、冬季でも少しは暖かい部屋の一角に、野菜の苗を育てる棚を作って発芽させて育てていました。
しかし、どれだけ日当たりが良くてもやはり屋外で浴びる太陽の光には敵わないですね。
野菜の苗の育ちが今ひとつ良くないので、多少日当たりが悪くても、一応ずっと屋外で太陽の光を受けることができる、反対側のベランダに野菜の苗を移すことにしました。
太陽の光に含まれる色々な波長の光を屋内で受け止められる場所に植物を置くのは、今の私の部屋では限界がありますね。
以前、出窓でたっぷり野菜とハーブを育てることができたのは、出窓がある南側の日当たりが非常によかったからでした。
南側が大きな建物で塞がってしまったのは本当に残念ですが、西側の「やや日当たりが悪く」「風が強く」「まだまだ夏までは寒い」ベランダを整備しようと思い立ちました。
西側のベランダも、南側と南西側が建物によって太陽の光が届きにくいのですが、やはり室内よりは太陽の光を受け取ることができます。
でも、高いビルとビルの間にある狭い道に面しているため、ビル風が吹き抜ける構造になっているため、ほとんど毎日のように風が強いです。
なので、雨の日は想像を超えて雨が吹き込んでくることがあります。
また、ベランダの囲いが、金属製の格子ではなく、完全にコンクリートで塞がっているタイプであるため、強風の割には湿気が溜まりやすいことも感じられます。
そこで、状況に応じて簡単にガーデンごと移動できるように、キャスター付き棚板をベランダに出すことにしました。
おそらく雨に濡れて傷むので、腐食防止のため柿渋を塗り込み、完全に乾いたら上から撥水スプレーをかけて保護することに決めました。
この板は、私が18歳で一人暮らしを始める時に、部屋の色々なものを置くために買った棚の棚板です。
40cm×90cmで結構大きくて、6段くらいあり、かなり高さがありました。
当時はあらゆるものをこの棚に置いていました。
大学のテキストやノート、ハードカバーの小説、食器類。
衣類もケースに入れてからこの棚に収納していました。
寮のようなところだったので、自分の使えるスペースは狭かったので、この棚は重宝したのですが、その後引っ越した先の部屋にうまく合わなかったため、すべてバラして、棚の裏にキャスターをつけ、重いものを乗せても移動できるように改造したのです。
こんな風に私が自分でキャスターを取り付けました。
この上にものを乗せると、奥の方にしまったものを手前に取り出す時に便利です。
夏服と冬服の入れ替えを行う時、これがあるだけで便利なのです。
また、こうしておくことで、掃除が気楽に出来るようになります。
この棚を購入したのは18歳で、キャスターを取り付けたのは20歳くらいの時ですから、もう20年以上ずっと使い続けてることになります。
その期間中、４回か５回引越しをしていますが、手放せなくてずっと使い続けています。
今回はこの6個くらいあるキャスター付きの棚のうちの2つに柿渋を塗って防腐性を高め、撥水加工をして、ベランダでベランダ菜園のために使うことにします。
ここまで手放すことなく持ってきて良かったーと思いました。
1回塗って乾かし、2回目塗って乾かし、今ほぼ完全に乾いたかな、という感じです。
今週末に撥水スプレーをかけて、これもまた完全に乾かしてからベランダ菜園に使うことにします。
上に野菜たちを乗せて、必要に応じてベランダ内を少し動かしたり、台風がやってくる時は、この板に乗せた丸ごと野菜を室内へ避難させることもできるよう考えています。
ここまでのプロセスはスムーズにできたのでホッとしました。
久しぶりにピザを焼いて食べました。市販のピザで、ただオーブントースターで焼いただけですが。
ピザ自体を食べるのが久しぶりだったので、すごく美味しく感じました。
そしてビールが美味しかったです。
今年の3月は本当に雨や曇りや寒い日が多くて、想定より遥かに条件が悪く、日照時間が短い状態が続いていましたが、今週末くらいからやっと春らしい暖かく晴れた日が来るようです。

また雨降りです。
従来そんなに気にならなかったのですが、最近、雨が降ると体調が悪くなります。
キャンプで雨天であっても、雨を眺めてぼおぅっと過ごせば気持ちは安らぐんですけどね。
気圧の変化に敏感になってしまったのだろうか。
