Upcycled Disappointment: Turning My Broken Rechargeable Table Fan Into a Phone Stand

in DIYHub14 days ago

Oh my God, my table fan got spoiled. I took it to a technician, hoping he could fix it, but everything got even worse. He ended up spoiling it completely. I was really disappointed and had to drop it at home.

For a while, I kept looking at it, wondering what I could possibly do with it. Everything seemed destroyed. Just this morning, an idea just popped into my mind. I thought to myself, I am in need of a tripod, and this fan has an adjustable neck and a strong base. I could upcycle it into a phone stand.

So I immediately gather everything my creative instinct dictate to me. Though I was eager to start to know what the outcome will be.

MATERIALS USED.

-Scissor
-candle/ wax gun and wax gum
-Tape rule
-Ribbon
-hand made flower and it's stone

STEP

  • I measured the base of the fan and cut it out on a red suede material (2.5cm width, and 28cm lenght)

  • I rapped it round the base using wax gum .

  • I now embellish it with a silver ribbon up and down using glue gum.

  • I added a blue flower I made myself to #embellish it couple with the stones .

  • I cut the suede material to the size of the pouch and rapped it with blue ribbon.

  • I glue the rapped pouch to the fan stand

Now my old broken fan has found a new purpose as a phone stand holder for my videos. Sometimes, what looks like waste can become something truly useful when you think creatively.

Hey stop do it yourself (#diy)
Don't throw it away , let your #creative instinct come #alive. Even when something seems broken or spoilt beyond repair it can still have #value if we approach it with a mind full of #inspiration creativity and adaptability. #Life can feel like it is full of setbacks and failures but instead of giving up we can look for new ways to use our skills, experiences and resources. What seems like a loss in one area can become something functional and even valuable in another. Just like turning a broken or spoilt fan into a phone stand, disappointment or failure can teach us skills patience or insight that we can use in unexpected ways. I put it foward to you today that breakdowns are not the end, but they are invitations to rethink, adapt and create something new.
