Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
The Dad-Hooman actually caught me being a little bit of a "cat cliché" earlier today... as I had discovered that there was a piece of string coming out of one of the Mom-Hoomans' art projects and I just simply had to investigate it!
What have we got here?
In fact, I got so involved in what I was doing that I forgot all about the fact that I was being photographed. NOrmally it would be my duty to come over and stick my face in the camera.
Although these are not the greatest photos ever, they are somewhat cute!

500 Cat Posts on Hive!
And so, we decided to add them to a post which is also somewhat significant in the fact that it is my 500th post here on Hive!
What started as just a lark and a bit of an experiment 4 1/2 years ago, has turned into a regular fixture.
One of my very first pictures on Hive, 4 1/2 years ago!
In the course of those 500 posts we have amassed tens of thousands of cat photos — most of which have actually ended up in the recycle bin — the more presentable of which have graced the pages of the Curator Cat blog.
Although we have junked many photos, we have also managed to fairly consistently chronicle Shadow's (aka "CuratorCat") daily life and shenanigans, and over the past year our new fluffy housemate Smudges has also become part of the blog

Cats somehow seem to have become an integral part of the Internet experience. Not sure exactly how it happened, but somehow we have become the unofficial mascot of the web!
Some of you have been online for a long time might remember the early days of the can probably remember that chubby gray Can Has Cheezburger? cat, as well as such icons as "Longcat" and his arch nemesis "Tacgnol."
It has been a lot of fun, and we certainly hope to keep going for many more years!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
