A wonderful rainy evening with 3 Idiots

in BDCommunity2 years ago

This is Tuesday night of January. The weather is a little bit weird. Generally, December to January is the season of winter and rain is not commonly known at this time. But todays’ sky was cloudy for the whole day. After the evening, the sky cried for a while. That forced me to take shelter at my Tuton’s home. As I have a cough, so aunty didn’t allow us to go out since I would make it worse. As we didn’t have much to do, Tuton brought out his laptop from his bag and told me to select a movie from his saved movies. There were no new movies that we could watch for the first time. So, we started to watch the movie 3 Idiots as we like it so much.

This is a type of movie which had touched all of our hearts when it was released. This movie portrayed the reality that a young graduate faces from the starting of his graduation to the first leap to his career, especially in South Asian countries. Not only this, but it also showed us a different view of friendship. But the most important thing is we have so many things to learn from this movie that we can apply some lessons in our life to stay motivated.

As both of us agreed to watch we switched off the lights and started to watch the movie. But it was the most wholesome moment when aunty came with two cups of coffee and some biscuits and chanachur and joined us. Aunty also likes 3 idiots. Though we couldn’t complete watching the movie. the environment was so memorable. So to the respect of the moment, I have decided to write something that I have learned from this movie.

Even after more than a decade, 3 Idiots is a film that holds a special place in each of our hearts. The film, which was a worldwide success, utilized comedy and humor to expose the flaws in India's education system, which are equally evident in our schooling. Here are four professional lessons we can learn from this fantastic film.

Following our own passion: Farhan's father wanted him to be an engineer and provided him with all of the resources he required. Farhan, on the other hand, was still scoring incredibly poorly on every single exam. Why? Farhan had little interest in engineering and instead wished to become a wildlife photographer. He eventually chose to pursue his own interest and became quite successful in his work.

Chase Excellence and success will follow: Racho went to an engineering college with only one purpose, learning. He did not care about the formal definition of a machine but rather wanted to know the practical implications of it. On the other hand, Chatur only cared about his marks and memorized lessons blindly instead of understanding them. The result was obvious in the latter part of the movie. While Rancho became an extremely successful scientist, Chatur just got a high-paying job, got stuck in another rat race, and had to chase after Rancho for a deal.

Don’t fall in a rat race: Each of us is stuck in life’s rat race. In school, we run after the 1st position in the class. In our University, we run after our CGPA and after getting a job we only run after promotions. This race often leads to very sad consequences as we can see from the suicide of Joy in the movie.

Marks does not define you: A two-digit number that an individual gets in a 3-hour exam can never define his intelligence. It does not identify anyone’s skills and abilities. Raju proved this in the movie after he secured an amazing job during his placement even after scoring poor marks on his exams.

These lessons are very significant for us to follow our passions and choose jobs wisely. As we are human, so we have dreams. Fulfilling these dreams bring fulfillment to our life.

Three idiots is a movie I won't forget. Really humorous but tells a good story. I really love the cloud images and wish to have one soon in my area. Such weather creates avenue for a nice sleep under the warm blanket.

Got a news yesterday about hailstone in Chapainawabganj. This is quite horrifying to think in winter but can't deny the fascination of having hot Khichuri with beef curry and taking a power nap under the warm blanket as you said after that. Oh my good God!!

Never had any hailstone experience but I heard that it destroys roofs is that true?
