Sadcasm V - Nightdreams and Daymares

(I)

Broken shards

from a withering cluster,

wreckages that soothes nerves,

like broken fragments

through a shallow water passage,

stifled celebration,

carefully ousted on hostile waters,

glimpses of darkness on

stilled surfaces,

hollowness causing newness

to fall to pieces.

Swift demise when

a troubled past set sail,

seeking the infamous

enlightenment.

Slain emotions are the new bliss,

ruptured heart seeking asylum

in the warmth of a

good-old-fashioned embrace.

Endless daydreams,

when rainbows and promises

the rain brings,

moonlight tales of a defunct reality,

where's the divinity

in a serene night ushering

in the chaotic slumber?

And the broken pieces, though

graceful couldn't make

out a flawless whole,

let alone the ashes

from a matyred dream.

But through the chaff,

and scavenged leftovers,

in fallen petals, crispy in death,

a mix of dead sunflowers

and sulfur springs,

revealing nature and toxicity

at their finest.

(II)

Let them waves, however big

or small, sweep us right

back to our feet.

And this love, however

intoxicating or obliterating,

ferry us through the depths,

all the way down to a

blissful abyss.

This cover, however subtle

or gentle, caress us

not to eternal sleep.

And these colours, however

bright or quiet, grace us

with beautiful daydreams.

However smooth or rough

the day may seem, however

meek or serene, the moonless

night.

Through oblivion, through

the noise and chaos, our

sanity we'd hope to keep.

That in the end, the brittle shall

alone stand in the embers.

Be it swift or slow the journey

to fulfilment,

And though the very essence

lost in the process, we hope

we'll have enough time to see

it to the end.
