“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” - Lao Tzu
I have played my PlayStation 4 on my television for over 4 years. The time finally came when the TV started to give problems like giving out the wrong input when the tv’s buttons were pressed and finally, the display was out of service, but the sound output was perfectly fine. I wanted to get it fixed right away and did so too. The repairmen came and took away my TV for a few days and returned it. Things were back to normal until after 19 days of use my TV would not show anything on the display, the sounds could be heard clearly, again.
It also had been a long time since I got something new for myself. So, I decided to get a proper gaming component.
I searched the web and asked a few of my fellow gamers to suggest me a good monitor. I got recommendations for BenQ, Acer, Asus, Lg.
My last Pc was about 8 years ago, so my knowledge about it is pretty low. So I just typed in the things I wanted on a Pc and a few landed on my list. Among them was an Asus 27” 144hz 1080p. Another Asus 24.5" with 165Hz and a 23.8" 165 Hz, a curved Asus monitor of 27”, and other monitors that cost over $5k XD. Until finally I got a suggestion for an Lg monitor. I looked it up and thought over it some more. I was told that once I got a part, I wouldn’t want to change it anytime soon, so I had to be certain that that was what I needed.
I compared the prices and discussed with friends which monitor would be sufficient. The looks of the monitor mattered to me as I wanted a good-looking monitor too. Then, I landed on Lg. It was a bit cheaper than Asus with the same specifications.
So I confirmed the date of pickup to the shop and got out at 11 am.
I went on a bus. The journey from home to the shop took about 40 minutes. This shop was located at H.m Plaza.
Some random pics from the window😁.
I got into their office and made the payment. Before bringing it in I asked them to open up and check whether for damages. They obliged and opened the box. It looked even more amazing up close, the monitor. Everything was provided and the monitor was in good shape.
On the way back, I clicked some more peaceful pics of the road before it got filled with traffic. This is an overpopulated city…
As soon as I got home I wanted to get some rest. I pulled this heavy thing by myself. At night, I decided to set it up.
It looked amazing, and the texture and quality were top-notch. Sadly, ps4 is capped at 1080p 60hz but dude the images were butter smooth.
I think I’ll replay Red Dead Redemption just for the image quality, to see how good it would look. To see the difference between a Tv and a monitor.

Drop an impressions post or review post about the monitor, after getting that PC.
Yes, sir, the ps4 can only give out so many details. The PC should unshackle the restraints imposed on this monitor.
Get it ASAP, prices are increasing again.
That sounds like smart buying :) Researching first before making a purchase. Thank goodness for the help of the internet :D
Imagine living back in 1950s and carrying down a wrong assumption or information for the rest of your life, believing that it was the truth. I do hope I a good service out of it!
Lots of wrong info going around these days some are easily fooled :D
Yeah, after asking some people and scanning the web made the decision easy.
I am also planning to buy a new monitor since my old one is too small for me. Though I only use it for work.
For work purposes, a 60-75Hz should be enough. For movies and others I’d suggest a 120-75Hz monitor. Cheap and sufficient. Which brand’s monitor are you aiming for?
That's a beautiful monitor. It's always nice to get a new screen.
It certainly is, the HDR of this monitor is truly magnificent!
I myself love to check in and out of newly bought items before making purchases so to avoid stories that touches the heart...lolz
Good to know, better to dig. Going by that proverb I see.
