[A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words]-The story of broken dreams.

Hello

I hope you're having a great day.

Time flies but the memory remains and the easiest way to capture a memory is by taking photographs and I'm here today to talk about a picture that speaks a thousand words.

This is a view of a very large place that was recently flooded. All the land that you can see in this photo is being used for cultivation for a long time. The water has decreased recently when I captured this photo but this whole place was like a river someday before.

There's a piece of land there where a young boy has started cultivating right after his father died and the boy is too young for this task but still he has to do this as he is the only son in the family who is now looking after his sick mother and younger sister. This boy started his school and suddenly his father died out of heatstroke in that land and then the boy had to give up his study and started cultivating at this early age.

The boy was becoming good in cultivation and he admitted his younger sister to a primary school. The sister had an exam in few months and she had tuition fees due which had to be paid before the exam and the boy was thinking of cultivating something to get some money out of it so he started cultivating using the little fund he had. The boy was working so hard.

The boy went to his home early that day as he was feeling so tired and slept after eating something. Suddenly he was hearing loud sounds of thunder which made him awake in a glimpse. He got up and went outside... there the rain comes. Heavy rain. They became happy after seeing rain after so many scorching hot days. Then he went to sleep again and he started dreaming. He was dreaming about growing some nice crops and getting lots of money for the crops and then he bought medicines for his mom and paid the tuition fees of his sister.

Suddenly, he heard his mom and sister screaming. Dada, dada, "everything is under water," the sister said. The boy jumped out of the bed and saw water in his home and it was like they had a pool in the home. He rushed to the land where he cultivates and he couldn't believe his eyes. Nothing is there except water. It's like their land is not land but a big river.

Their dream shattered with everything else.

This is the story of a single-family who owned a single plot in that vast area and there are such stories of more than a dozen families who used to get their living out of those lands and now all is gone under floodwater.

Note: This is a fiction that I made up myself but I can feel/sense that many peoples are going through a worse situation now with this sudden flood. This sudden flood caused great loss to many poor working people. Many lost the place where they slept and many lost the land where they invested their last fund. I wish and pray that their good times come back soon.

I'm counting on your advice and suggestions.

Great image and story. It is always hard when nature hits and hurts those already in need. No distinctions, no pattern, no logic

thank you so much for your positive feedback.

Nature is a blessing for us but sometimes it backfire us too.
The heavy rainfall maybe enjoyable to some people sleeping in the huge buildings and maybe like a curse to these kind of families.

We get to see such kind od scenario every year. May Allah help these kind of people.

That was a very nice and practical story brother. Best of luck.

Hello, what a sad and beautiful story, while reading it I thought of two opportunities to tell your story.

A fiction that is very real for many people, it is sad to work the agriculture and to see how the nature instead of being your friend is in charge of ruining everything, sometimes it is the plagues, the climate, the farmer only has left to pray and to have faith in God who is the only one that controls everything.

I liked a lot, reading broken dreams, also the layout of the simple but nice post. Congratulations and wish you a good place in the contest.

The second one because I would like to win the first one hehehehe He joked.

It was a pleasure to read you. Greetings from Venezuela. 😉
