As usual, we are still on the continuation of my ongoing what do you expect series and we are still focusing on yet another premier league team… In this post, we will be looking at Newcastle, a club that has hit the headlines these past few weeks considering their potential new owners. If this happens, then it would definitely be a rise of the new dawn for the club and for the Newcastle supporters.
As we all know, Newcastle used to be one of the top clubs in England back in the days, but have fallen off the top and have since become a fighting to keep their place in the premier league.
According to recent reports, it is said that the owner of the club has agreed a 300M pounds deal to sell the club to the new owners… News that has aroused talking points and how they could go on to become the next Man City who became what they are today all thanks to their new owners who transformed the club by pumping in the needed funds to sign some of the best players in the world, and the rest, as they say, is history. This is great news for the Newcastle fans and I know they will be pinching themselves that this isn’t a dream and that it should become a reality.
This news came at the right time considering how poor Newcastle have been so far this season and even though they have gotten a couple of great wins, they have been poor. At the moment, they are sitting 13th on the premier league table, just 8 points above the relegation with 8 more games to go, which means that they, are not yet secured their place in the premier league for next season. However, this recent news and if they finally sell the club to a new owner, could serve as a confident booster for the team to keep pushing to cement their stay in the premier league.
Like I mentioned above, a lot of talking points surrounding Newcastle have surfaced these past few weeks after reports broke out that the owner of the club has agreed a 300M pounds deal to sell the club to new owners. This news have caused a lot of fans to begin to talk about expectations from Newcastle next season… For me, if the reports about Newcastle selling the club to new owners is true and the club is finally sold, then we all should expect Newcastle to become a top side in no time. We all know what money can do in football, which means that they will be able to afford quality players and some of the best players and manager in Europe. While it isn’t a guarantee that signing a top manager and signing top players would transform the club to a big club by the snap of a finger, however, the process would be much faster and also there’s a big possibility that they could hire a manager and sign players that would just click and immediately begin to do great things.
Nevertheless, if the club remains the way it is and they finally cement their stay in the premier league next season, then I don’t expect anything much from them and expect them to still compete in and around the bottom half of the premier league table next season. So much excitements for next season and we hope that everything returns to normal very soon and football actions resumes again.
