Living in a city is tiring. But at the same time, we have to agree that cities are full of life. There may have a crowd everywhere. But that what runs a city, that's what our fuel.

I'm talking about my City - Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. I'm living here for nearly two decades. This city is full of highrises and pollution. Yes, that may sound harsh but that's the truth. But there's another view of the city, which you may miss seeing on media.

Is this picture telling you a different story?

It's because this is a residential area, the corner of the city. The lake is the heart of this area, the water is not pure. But the green around the lake is what makes this place beautiful. Fortunately, I live near this area, in an apartment building. The whole area is full of highrises, residential apartments like you are seeing in the picture.

Both sides of the road are full of different vegetable carts. We usually do our grocery shopping from those carts. Also, there is a marketplace nearby where you can buy all the different kinds of stuff. As I was saying, this is a residential area so all you can see are residential apartment buildings with all the residential facilities like medical, shops, schools, prayer halls, and all.

This is the regular view of our streets.

Because of lockdown we get to see less crowd on the streets. But usually, we have to face a lot of traffic, a huge amount of crowd every day on the street.

This is one of the largest shopping malls in South Asia. It's near my living place so I usually visit this place often for shopping or food exploration.

But let's not sugarcoat it and share a true image of my locality.

This is the true image of my city, a business/corporate area. It's crowded, full of traffic, pollution in most of the areas.

But cities are meant to be a little crowded. That's what runs the cities.
