For the last two days, I have been living in a cave, in my room, and haven't moved out of my house even for a second. I wonder if I had looked outside of the window or not; maybe I haven't even noticed the sun rays as they are again on the rise; winter is leaving. I had classes to attend, and I missed them too, not intentionally. Last year I missed a lot and now I don't want to repeat that same mistake. But my luck sometimes loves to mock me; that's why I couldn't make it for this year's first class, lol.
It was something like a funny one. After our final exam break, we suddenly got our new class routine, a surprise from the department. Everyone was shocked, but we planned to join the first one; everyone would come, a fresh beginning. My friend texted me something like, "Hey, you are coming, right? See you tomorrow." I replied in the affirmative, as I was planning to attend. At night, the clock was moving, and I was staring at my pc with those gloomy eyes, watching a documentary.
Recently my interest in watching documentaries has gone beyond my plans; it was a good one in one way or another other, but I got too much addicted, especially during the late night hours. My mind says that just one more, look at this one, and those tempting titles and thumbnails hypnotize me instantly. Mostly technology, geopolitics, mystery, cyber security, and stuff like that. Well, this section includes a few podcasts and similar videos too.
Ummmm, I was on my way to see how I missed my first day of this year. So it was almost 4.00 am when I went to bed. Finally, I was going to sleep to wake up at 9.00. Yeah, already one hour less than the standard sleep time. To be honest, I don't believe that I will be content with just five hours of sleep, but I have classes, so that's a different scenario. I went to bed, and it took more time to fall asleep. I woke up at 11.30 am. But how?
As I told you, my luck was mocking me that day. Usually, I keep my door open just before going to bed so that my mother can come inside in the morning and turn on my windows, and gradually I wake up with the sun rays that come inside. I forgot to do that on that night before going to bed; how did I miss that? I don't even know. And here comes my alarm, I set it to ring, but the phone wasn't even on silent then what happened? Accidentally I slept while my phone was in my hand; in the morning, I wasn't finding it where it should have been, and I found it below me. Yeah, I was sleeping on my phone, but I couldn't hear its sound because it got turned off. It didn't break is what I should thank the Almighty for.
That's how I missed my first class, and, throughout the whole day, I was stuck to documentaries, phones, and stuff like that. Two days of imprisonment that I went through without my knowledge. And finally, I took a walk outside just before the sunset, spent some time with friends, and here I am in my cave again.
