Creativity has its root in the mind but firstly, it must be unleashed for it to find expression. When a child is born, the mind is virtually "Tabula Rasa" but as the child grows, they will keep learning, unlearning and relearning to fill up the mind. You may not have had a choice of the conditions of your birth but what becomes of your life thereafter is a function of your dominant thoughts that give birth to your dominant actions which forms your future.
Every great and mind-blowing achievements you see today was once a fragment of man's imagination that was conceived in the mind but birthed through actions. The turn your life takes is a result of the image you have created in your mind. If you believe that you can't succeed at a given task, then success is already far from you but if you believe that, no matter what comes up, you will succeed, then you are on the pathway to success.
It is worthy to note that you only create maximum impact when you are functioning in the area you are built to be. You will enjoy so much ease and simplicity of actions (just like the eagle won't struggle to fly and the fishes won't have difficulty inside the water). Amazingly, the area you are built to be may not be what you studied in school but that is where your celebration lies. No doubt, schooling is very good but the major reason is to give you an open mind for better creativity instead of just an empty mind.
I read about a particular footballer that was trained as an engineer but he found himself in the world of soccer and he blazed the trail. If he had focused on drawing 3D images, he would not have made the kind of impact he did. This is to prove that there is something you are designed to be and deviating from it may shift you from the success track.
In the same way, not everyone is called to be a footballer. Because Messi and Ronaldo are blazing the trails does not mean you will, just discover "you" through the eye of the mind. There is no one that is left without, at least, a particular unique gift or ability but the unleashing of the same is the person's absolute prerogative.
You do not need to run in someone else's lane to succeed, just maintain your own and success will trail you. If you try to compete against someone's high scores or to copy their best, you may end up as a second. Success is not necessarily measured by how many people you are able to beat but how many of your own high scores you have beaten.
