Heya splinterian's,
I hope everyone is getting used to the new changes and updates of the splinterlands. Collection power is something which will hurt new players but on the other side, I see a huge benefit of this new update. There would be less card dumping on the market. I myself have a lot of extra cards which I wanted to sell. But I am known to be the laziest girl on the planet which made me never place any card on the market. But my laziness helped me this time and those cards are now helping my alt account which doesn't have many collections power to achieve champion league. Now by the grace of the God my account has reached its target and its all because I sent all my extra golds and reward cards to my alt account.
Anyways that was the recent update about the game which I wanted to share. As we all challengers know this week splinterlands weekly battle challenge theme is warchaang
.
One of my favourites and I actually use it more often. Warchaang can be best in the up close and personal rule. Also, its lore is very interesting to read I love how the Hellaphants moulded into the new type of war machine called chaang.
War Chaang
Name: War Chaang
Edition: Untamed
Rarity: Epic
element: Neutral
Currently, trading at0.47$/BCX
War Chaang is the best on its own. It has two types of attacks along with such an amazing ability retaliate. It gives you ranged and melee attack. My war Chaang is level 5 right now so I have 2 ranged attack and three melees. I do love its retaliate and trample ability. But unfortunately, the battle I am going to share is up close and personal where only melee monsters can be used but war chaang does have significant value in this rule because of its range attack.
MY Battle 🏆
Active Splinters: only water😂
As you can see the only active splinter is water. I didn't have any choice since my Bortus is maxed so i went with Bortus instead of Alric Stormbringer. Well, it does really not matter which summoner I am going to use because there is no magic thing since the rule is up close and personal so there is that.
The Kraken
I used The Kraken in the first place. The Kraken this weird looking creature is indeed a sign of horror for the opponents. It comes up with Four abilities at a max level such as taunt
, demoralize
, enrage
retaliate
. The rule was all about Melee monsters so what would have been better than The Kraken. It decreases -1 melee attack of all the opponent's monsters. It takes all the attack and it has retaliate ability along with enrage.
Electric Eels
I used Electric Eels in second place. It has reach ability so it can be used in the second place. Also it gives blast at every attack.
Sand Worm
I used a Sand Worm in Third place. Another cool reward sneak attack monster. The best thing about sandworm is it is neutral you can use with any splinter. it has a very strong melee attack.
War Chaang
I used War Chaang the theme of the week in fourth place. I already told how amazing this neutral untamed monster is. I really love using it in all the favourable rules.
Feasting Seaweed
I used Feasting Seaweed in fifth place. I used it because of the opportunity ability. In addition to that, it has a scavenger ability. Opportunity ability monsters along with scavenger ability always make game one-sided.
Creeping Ooze
Last but not least I used Creeping Ooze in the last position. I wanted to decrease the speed of my opponent's monsters. Luckily my opponent went with the defensive line-up. He used only two attackers. And it was a one-sided game already.
Did My strategy work out?
yes, 100% as you can see the result. Range attack of War chaang did help in the battle which was really cool.

Woot! Love it!
I really like the War Chaang too!
Perfect ruleset for him! I love that he gets ranged during up close and personal.
Great post!
Oh... I'm also very bad at selling my cards. 😂
