For this week I would like to feature an art exhibit held here in our city three years ago at the only 4-star hotel in our city, the Marco Polo Hotel. The art exhibit was sponsored by a group of female artists called Bai Hinang. The name comes from "woman" (Bai) and "create" (Hinang) in the old vernacular of the island of Mindanao. This exhibit was of particular interest to me because my daughter is a member of this group and she was exhibiting some of her watercolor art, which was of course for sale as well.
Photo above shows my daughter, Jacinta, with two of her watercolor paintings. She normally does wildlife and waterlife art to create awareness to the dangers of pollution and how they affect animals and sea creatures.
Here she is again after replacing the top painting from the photo above which was sold on the first day of the exhibit.
This is the lobby of the hotel where all the different paintings of the participating artists were displayed.
And of course the artists themselves.

Thanks @nelinoeva. Very proud father here. But she's her mom's through and through. They both have the creative art in their genes. I'm all brawn and butterfingers 😂
