Is it not amazing when one can buy a good cuppa joe at such a very affordable price? My siblings (who are all here in the Hive blockckain by the way) and I were so happy that we got to enjoy good cups of coffees at freakin' cheap prices! 🤩😳😱
If you have been following me here in Hive dear friend, you would know that I went on an out-of-town trip (Negros!) with my whole family about two weeks ago. In fact, I've been sharing with you all some shenanigans of the said trip! (And you bet - today's post is one of those lol.)
On the second day of our trip, we went to Canlaon City and visited the tourist-famous Century-old Balete Tree. As soon as we were heading to our next destination there was a change of plan - we won't be going to the hanging bridge anymore and instead we will go to the cemetery to visit out dearly departed loved ones and say prayers for them.
There was, as expected, a tiny argument which went for a couple of minutes. The end result of the said discussion was this: the parents, with our aunt, and my sister and her husband would go to the cemetery whilst the rest of the group would go to the closest resort.
The kids (my nieces) were keen on going to the beach that day, as they were promised so. In fact, they have their swimsuits ready so there was no stopping them.
Off we went to the closest beach indeed - it was La Playa resort. There was a restaurant inside - we decided to stay there while the kids enjoy the beach. For your information dear Hive friend, the beach was not as nice as one would have in mind (fine white sand with a pretty shore one could walk by) so we were not keen on swimming.
It was snack time, that is why we decided to order some beverages and foods. WE WERE MINDBLOWN WHEN THE MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER SAID THIR BREWED COFFEE WAS JUST 20 PHP (0.34USD)!!! Here in Cebu City a decent cup of brewed coffees in most cafe is at 100 PHP or more! Imagine our surprise when we knew that we could buy five cups here when we can only have one if we were to buy it in Cebu. 😱 Their nachos with cheese and meat were at 100 PHP only - and look at that huge serving!!
Their brewed and iced lattes were GOOD! I honestly did not expect "this quality" at such cheap a price. And their nachos? Boy was it delicious! Worth every penny and more, I tell yah!
How I wish I could live here for a month - my money would buy lots of decent good food and coffee alright. 🤩 We would definitely go back to this place when we'll visit this town in the future. *winks
