We played hide and seek ages ago. The main reason was the threat mentioned in a song... it will kill all of us softly while we sleep.
The messages spread by the mainstream media were diverse. We all felt nervous. Once it affects you, fear is reality.
We saw it come through the sky like a jet, colouring it orange, red and yellow, followed by purple."It doesn't look bad, I like it, I told my grandmother." She shook her head and told me to keep my mouth shut and hide.
"It's a game, you are good at it. Hide and be quiet and count to 100 in your head." She smiled and I knew she would look for me like she always did when we played hide and seek.
Today I am older than she ever became. I see what they called the bomb. The thing that would destroy us humans and the world. They lied. That bomb never fell. There was no danger, no spell, no end of the world. We hid, generations did and saw the beauty of nature, live pass away.
Why did we let them do this to us?
I had a closer look. I would make up to all who died out of frustration, anger, for no reason. I studied the bubble it hit inside. I would make sure justice would be done. It was time to drop the bomb.
