When finding a home its really important to do a thorough research especially the surroundings, I so agree with your mom there. With what's happening now, where flooding are happening left and right its better to be wise when choosing a place to live. I'm also thankful that we're living to our place now though the noise is super annoying. We're near a river but thanks to the stonewall we're still a lil safe from floods. Its mama's house who's always affected by it though coz her house is on a lower ground.

When I was little, I didn't understand why she said that. But as an adult, I totally get it. Especially when I was in my old town, where there were a lot of vacant lots that no one was using. I later found out they were sites with seismic faults. It's important to take these factors into account, because then it happens, as it happened with several projects, where they ignored that, built, and then had to abandon the project halfway. ๐ What a relief that you feel safe despite living so close to a river. I hope your mother's house isn't as badly affected by future rains. ๐ Thank you so much for reading my post and for commenting! ๐
