Hello Q-Inspired family, it's been a while here, but I love the feeling of being back and writing musically inspiring posts. I ll love to join this challenge with a sort of nonfiction but one-sided story of how I met a musical crush of mine. Merely sharing it is a challenge, but not a challenge too, so I believe it fits in well for this sort of "A challenge not challenge," as @mipiano would call it, but for me, I think I'll have to take it as it is.
Music is such a powerful tool that draws many people together, and we get to meet people, and then we can maet them again. For me, the musician that I wish to meet, as the challenge goes, is someone that has only recently become a friend. It's a long story, but I hope that you're patient enough to see how it all went.
Thanks to @mipiano, @edje, as well as @fernanblog for helping me find this wonderful initiative to write about how music help to meet people again and share a bit of my life with them.

Being a medical student, strangely really didn't give me much opportunity to go for concerts. Even on the day I had a program scheduled where I will be performing with my guitar, something came up, and I had to go for yet another interview, and so there weren't many concerts that I attended. I went to a few Christian concerts, and in most of them, I was either part of those performing, leading in the choir, or assisting as ushers.
But one of those days came, and I went for a Catholic concert where classical music was being done, and I heard a voice singing a classical song, I can't recall it now,. It wasn't the songs that got my attention at first; it was the voice and the pitch the person was taking at that time.
I paused for a minute, looked up to see above the crowd if I could catch the face, and I realized it was one small sized lady who was singing to the mic with all the strength she had, and the power was felt through all the speakers, and the whole hall was electrifying. At the end of her performance, people clapped, saying "wow," and I realized I wasn't the only one moved by her performance. That day ended, and we all went back to our houses, no contact, but it was a story for the night, and the next morning, and life went on.
. . . .
. . .
. .
.
It wasn't until about two years later, where I had attended another concert, classical music again, and mostly for medical students, where I saw this lady again, singing. At this point, it was a familiar voice, and I knew she was the one again performing her magic. A round of applause for Miss Matilda (No real name), the moderator said, as she finished her rendition, and we all clapped and cheered at her songs. Some even began to echo and mimic the things that she had sung, and it sparked a lot more cheering in the hall.
Was there any contact?
I m sure you want to know,..
Not even a breeze.
Now, bring it closer to the present, in 2022. After I had moved to my current town, new job, new city and new people and patient class. Just before I arrived, a highly reverred staff had finished her tenure in office and a sendforth was scheduled. I attended the sendforth party, to the loss of my cherished ear buds, that was the last day I saw it. But that was also the day I knew something was not the usual, when it was time for a musical interlude, and that name that was called, it was this same lady, yes Miss Matilda
She sang so lovely
She had sung her song to the middle before it struck me that that person was familiar. I didn't hear when the name was called, and I did not bother because the food before me was really delicious, and I was really hungry that day after the day's work. What made me look up was when she started running her highs and lows, it was very familiar so I looked up in disbelief that I knew that voice, in this nowhere town? and she had performed that song before, so I asked other visitors sitting close by if they knew who it was that was singing, and one of them told me yes, she was was a musicologist around the town and also a musician, I replied to that, "Okay, I believe she studied music, and she's the best I ve heard". I was excited and they knew it.
I went on to describe the previous times I had listen to her sing and how powerful they were in fact I had to become a fan that day in the presence of these people and I was telling them that she didn't even do the bit of what she can really do.
My applaud was really loud when she eventually finished and I wished many people really valued what I just listened to.
She went on to sit down and I had hoped to speak to her, but that never happened that day, after the party it was home time, in a new city, staying late may not be the best.
Don't get bored yet. The best part is yet to come.
About two weeks later I was in my office on a Thursday and have not seen a lot of patients, when I asked to see the next patient, somebody walked into my office and she asked me, I m sorry, are you doctor John?
Are you Dr John?
I said yes before I realized who it was. It was Miss Matilda, 😂😂
Rising up to welcome her to my office I said "it's a pleasure to have you in my office today". And she smiled as I offered her a chair.
Here is how it happened..
One of the people on the table at the party had told her about me, "One Doctor asked about you, he said he knows you". So she decided to find out who the Doctor was and voila, WE MET,yes we met and we talked about music, life after school, life in the new city and what brought her here, we even made plans for me to scrub up on my knowledge of music theory and maybe do a Collab soon. She is a really celebrated artiste and I loved meeting her.
This is a real story, only the name is not real. Hehe. And the pictures ofcourse, I don't have permissions to share her identity here. I should tell her about hive maybe, she may like it and find some talent sharing here more fun.
I m glad to have joined this challenge not challenge, even though it took me so long to complete. It had to go through today and now I m glad you completed this, by reading.
Now should I share this post with her? Let me know what you think.

You've done it! A nice and real entry to a challenge that isn't a challenge 😉
Miss Matilda: I suppose we will learn more about her when you do a duet which you'll record in one or the other way and share with us? 😆 Don't mind me. Call this a 'challenge not challenge' as well allowing you to not enter 😎
Seriously: It's quite funny how things go with peeps. Most unexpected things happen. I always like it when such out-of-the-ordinary situations arise.
Yeah right with that.
When some automatic recurring horses happen like this, I jump on them to see where it leads. This one is still riding.
🏇 NJOY 😉
😉
What a story, Miss Matilda is passionate about medicine hahaha... or doctors.
But I believe in energies and you wanted to meet her, you wished it with a lot of love and a lot of faith, that's why your wish was granted.
Have a nice day :)
Haha .
Hmmm.
I see your point here .
Why she came around.
And our path kept crossing..
Energies...! hehehe.
Let's see how that goes.
Good evening @jaydr
With a little delay (don't count the days please hahah) I am landing on your post to meet Miss Matilda ;)
Things happen in the time when they have to happen, and in a way we don't expect. She came to your office!! Cool! And add the fact that she was not actually ill haha, but came just to meet you. You are a lucky fan, your favourite musician came to you! I hope that collaboration will happen! :)
I hope so too. She s been having shows around and may need to settle before the Collab
Could it be that you have a pile up of posts and mentions, or real life had to be attended to. Which ever, it's fine. It's been a while I was here too and I ll really like to be more frequent .. I really hope.
🎶🎶🎶🤞
Fingers crossed for you :))
Real life is getting really hectic, double shifts many times and so many gigs are coming right now, so maybe it will mean a little break from Hive and going offline for some time. Basically, I have no free day in the week, but ok, it's not that I am complaining 😇
Take care my friend!
P.S. I still remember our collaboration 😇🌟🎶 It was a nice one 🎹🎶🎶
Wow.. that's really busy.. I try to free up my time but more things still come along to hug me lol.
I m sure you ll find a way. Well if it requires staying off for a while please do.
Yeah. It's really amaizing. I always go to watch it a few more times hehe.
I won't mind if we could do another one this year. I have better gadgets now with better skills I hope. Hehe
Hello! @jaydr What an interesting story indeed, definitely music transcends and can connect you with other people, even without knowing them. Music is a wonderful gift.
Thanks so much for reading it.
Yes music is powerful, and can bring people together.
Reminds me of a movie, august rush.
