Como expliqué en un post reciente, hace poco descubrí la música de Yann Tiersen y quedé maravillado. Su estilo breve, minimalista y a la vez emotivo, me pareció cautivador. Creo que su música comunica emociones y estados de ánimo con mucha efectividad. Interpretar sus obras es entrar en una burbuja de la que no se quiere salir.
Como compositor me siento muy identificado con su manera de componer, me conecto con la simplicidad rítmica y melódica de sus obras, pues me parece siempre un reto lograr que una composición sea profunda y comunicativa partiendo sólo desde ideas simples. En mi opinión Yann Tiersen lo logra con éxito.
El trabajo que lleva a Tiersen a ser mundialmente conocido fue la composición de la banda sonora de la película francesa El fabuloso destino de Amélie Poulain, pero al respecto, el Eric Satie de este tiempo, declaró para el portal Semana en noviembre de 2016 lo siguiente:
"Es más preciso decir que mi música ha sido utilizado en películas, pues solo he compuesto una banda sonora original para la película de ficción ‘Good Bye Lenin’, y una banda sonora original para el documental ‘Tabarly’, sobre un marinero y regatista francés. De resto, han sido pistas y música extraída de mis trabajos previos." Fuente
Y más adelante en la entrevista indicó que la música usada en la película Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain fue compuesta 6 años antes de su filmación, por lo que su música no tenía nada que ver con la película.
Como sea, a pesar de todo lo que expresó en esa entrevista, son muchos los que están de acuerdo de que su música estaba de alguna manera predestinada a ser la icónica banda sonora de Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.
Pero en este post he venido a compartirles no una pieza de la música usada para la película Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, sino una pequeña obra perteneciente a la banda sonora compuesta para ¡Good Bye Lenin!, "Coma". Esta obra que va en completa línea con el argumento de la película, parece detener el tiempo y a la vez impregnarlo todo con una extraña incertidumbre.
Para concluir, quiero expresar que actualmente me encuentro explorando la obra del maestro Yann Tiersen y espero poder regresar pronto con más de sus composiciones. Y antes de despedirme quiero preguntarte si te ha gustado esta publicación y qué te ha hecho sentir esta pieza.

As a composer I feel very identified with his way of composing, I connect with the rhythmic and melodic simplicity of his works, because it always seems like a challenge to make a composition deep and communicative starting only from simple ideas. In my opinion Yann Tiersen achieves this successfully.
The work that led Tiersen to be known worldwide was the composition of the soundtrack of the French film The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain, but in this regard, Eric Satie of At this time, he declared the following for the Semana portal in November 2016:
"It is more accurate to say that my music has been used in films, since I have only composed an original soundtrack for the fiction film 'Good Bye Lenin', and an original soundtrack for the documentary 'Tabarly', about a sailor and French sailor. This work, which is completely in line with the plot of the film, seems to stop time and at the same time impregnate everything with a strange uncertainty.

That's a very nice piece you shared/played. You name this simple, I call it minimalistic. Am not a musician of any kind, but I believe that creating minimalistic music, that goes straight to out hearts, is mighty difficult. It's not just the rhythm (if we can speak about rhythm in this case), but also the way its played. With soft and hard keystrokes and all. I don't think it is simple at all, I think it is mighty hard to get it right.
Am such a goof for minimalistic music. The 'simpler' it sounds (the more minimalistic it is), the more I usually like the music. That said, must be a great composition and performance of such, otherwise, it is quickly BIN material 😉 The latter isn't the case for the piece you brought us here though. Very nice one!
