Fireworks and Rollerblades is an album that has been out since 2024 and the song Beautiful Things took the majority of the spotlight, but there are still so many undervalued songs on the album that it's just a treasure trove.
Benson Boone is an artist whose wholesomeness and majority of his musical discography has stemmed from his songs on relationships, both familial, friend and romantic.
At first, I didn't know about him, then I heard Beautiful Things—like so many others—on the radio, on Tiktok reels and everywhere else.
He has a powerful voice, one that resonates and flows well with the intensity of the emotions in his songs.
Safe to say, I was interested and added him to my playlist, yet it wasn't until late last year that I actually gave his discography a listen after the release of his latest Album "American Heart".
American heart was a beautiful album, simply wondrous, yet this one... This one is from the heavens, an album with the theme of love, feelings and friendships.
It's an honest point of view of how overwhelming, fast, exciting and dangerous love can be, just like the combination of Fireworks and Rollerblades.
I have listened to this song countless times on the album, yet it's only till a little while back that I started to relate with it and now it just clicks...
I can be something of a flirt sometimes, and there are plenty of girls that I text or reply to their greeting texts with the pet or nickname of "Love."
Something I blame from my obsession with the British accent and their cheery way of greeting.
Yet recently, I do find myself more intentional with her when I text and talk and call..
With her, I actually say "Hello Love..."
