ASKING

If you tell someone they are not alone
They proceed to forget to phone
If they ask for help with all they can muster
Your forgetfulness turns into a cluster
A cluster fuck in their mind
They give up on you because entwined
You wonder why they grow so distant
Why they seem so resistant
Small to you, but big to them
You said you would be there, they want out on a whim
If they don't see it as a lesson
It turns into a mental prison
So don't tell them how to be
They'll begin to resent you in misery
Instead of adjust to this nasty world
And see you all as children stuck in the underworld
