I would think it is more cost effective to store data on #HIVE but not sure.
P.S. I kind of suspect that https://GameCredits.org will do this since it was announced that they partnered with Splinterlands (speculation).

Yes. That is why it is not a good idea to store data on the blockchain for privacy reasons, and it is also not feasible to delete data from the blockchain without breaking the chain.
Even with encryption, the metadata of the data stored on the blockchain (which is public) tells a lot about the person storing the data and the data themselves. Coupled with lack of ability of people who uploaded data to delete their own data themselves, privacy is at risk.

Therefore, if the surveillance entities cannot understand the data itself due to encryption, they will be able to tell a lot about it when other facts about their targets are combined together using their very powerful supercomputers.
