This post comes from a deep reflection and also from a news that shocked me a few days ago, when a woman is found dead in her house, alone. And nobody notices it.

The body remains in the chair and is found two years later...

This is what happened in Como. The body of Marinella Beretta, aged of 70, was found on Friday afternoon in an advanced state of decomposition. She was sitting in the living room. The old woman, originally from Erba, had probably been dead for over two years. He had no relatives or close friends. Nobody got suspicious not having news of him.
The woman was struck down by an illness while she was in the chair. Right where the body remained until it was found. He had sold the house on the outskirts of Como to a Swiss citizen, but had kept the usufruct. Some residents of the area in recent days have called the owner of the property, which they considered uninhabited, for questions related to the maintenance of the green.
It was the man who asked for police intervention.

Now this is just one of the many stories that happen every day in every part of the world.
Anyone like me who has parents, perhaps widowers, elderly and who live alone, feels this dilemma very closely.

And those who have no children or close relatives who occasionally make themselves heard, risk finding themselves dead without anyone noticing for years ... How sad.

There are associations that help these people, but they must be activated and often we find ourselves in even worse situations (violence and mistreatment).
Therefore my appeal is :

DO NOT LEAVE THEM ALONE.

If you have elderly relatives, who live alone, from time to time pay them a visit, a phone call.

If you know elderly people who are desperate, locked inside their home, every now and then let yourself be heard, a greeting or a kind word sometimes saves a life and will surely help you feel better too.

Questo post nasce da una profonda riflessione e anche da una notizia che mi ha sconvolto di pochi giorni fa, quando una donna viene trovata morta nella sua casa, da sola. E nessuno se ne accorge.

Il corpo resta sulla poltrona e viene ritrovato due anni dopo...

E' quanto accaduto a Como. Il cadavere di Marinella Beretta, 70 anni, è stato rinvenuto nel pomeriggio di venerdì in avanzato stato di decomposizione. Era seduta in salotto. L'anziana, originaria di Erba, era morta probabilmente da oltre due anni. Non aveva parenti o amici prossimi. Nessuno si era insospettito non avendo sue notizie.

La donna è stata stroncata da un malore mentre era sulla poltrona. Proprio dove è rimasto il corpo fino al ritrovamento. Aveva venduto la casa nella periferia di Como a un cittadino svizzero, ma ne aveva mantenuto l'usufrutto. Alcuni residenti della zona nei giorni scorsi hanno chiamato il proprietario dell'immobile, che ritenevano disabitato, per questioni legate alla manutenzione del verde. È stato l'uomo a chiedere l’intervento della polizia.

Ora questa è solo una delle tantissime storie che ogni giorno accadono in ogni parte del mondo.
Chi come me ha dei genitori, magari vedovi, anziani e che vivono da soli, sente questo dilemma molto da vicino.

E chi non ha figli o parenti prossimi che ogni tanto si fanno sentire, rischia di trovarsi morto senza che nessuno se ne accorga per anni… Che tristezza.

Esistono delle associazioni che aiutano queste persone, ma bisogna attivarle e spesso ci si ritrova in situazioni anche peggiori ( violenze e maltrattamenti ) . Pertanto il mio appello è :

NON LASCIAMOLI SOLI.

Se avete parenti anziani, che vivono da soli, ogni tanto fate loro una visita, una telefonata.

Se conoscete delle persone anziane che sono disperate, chiuse dentro lo loro casa, ogni tanto fatevi sentire, un saluto o una parola gentile a volte salvano una vita e vi aiuteranno sicuramente a sentirvi meglio anche voi.
