"Artist's Clock #3"

For this year's November show at Ramstein AFB here in Germany I made two clocks already, see here and here. Today, allow me to present the third and last one of the series.
All told, this was a fun project, and anybody can do this, whether you know how to paint or not. As I explained with clock #1, the clock face can be decorated with découpage instead of painting, and you're sure to find a pretty design looking through the abundance of paper napkins available on the market. To learn the découpage technique, find a Youtube video; there are hundreds on the subject. Just give it a try!
Anyway, if these things actually sell this year, I'll incorporate clock mechanisms in larger, rectangular paintings for next year. Less clock, more art. Let's see what happens...
"Künstler-Uhr #3"

Für die diesjährige Novemberausstellung auf der Ramstein AFB hier in Deutschland habe ich bereits zwei Uhren gemacht, siehe hier und hier. Heute möchte ich die dritte und letzte Uhr der Serie vorstellen.
Alles in allem war dies ein nettes Projekt, das jeder machen kann, egal ob Du malen kannst oder nicht. Wie ich schon bei der Uhr Nr. 1 erklärt habe, kann das Ziffernblatt mit Découpage verziert werden, anstatt es zu bemalen, und Du wirst sicher ein hübsches Design finden, wenn Du die vielen Papierservietten durchstöberst, die auf dem Markt erhältlich sind. (Geh' mal zu Tedi!) Um die Découpage-Technik zu erlernen, such' dir ein Youtube-Video; es gibt Hunderte zu diesem Thema. Probier' es einfach mal aus!
Wenn sich die Dinger dieses Jahr tatsächlich verkaufen, werde ich im nächsten Jahr Uhrwerke in größere, rechteckige Bilder einbauen. Weniger Uhr, mehr Kunst. Mal sehen, was passiert...
