My Actifit Report Card: June 21 2022

Hey everybody and thanks ๐Ÿ™ for stopping by! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Happy Summer Solstice! ๐ŸŒžโ˜€๏ธโญ๏ธ For those who live in the Northwest and points further north, we will experience quite the lengthy day. Here, daylight begins around 4:30 AM and darkness around 10:15 PM tonight, depending on cloud cover. I remember when we first moved here some 22 years ago, it was never ending daylight for weeks! We had previously lived in Ohio and then Colorado where there was more daylight during this time than winter, but it was so much more here that we really noticed it. Now, itโ€™s not quite as sharp to us as it once was simply with the passage of the years. You just get used to it, lol ๐Ÿคฃ Weโ€™d probably have to go to northern BC or to Alaska to get that sense of awe again. ๐Ÿคญ

Today, we had planned a trip to Zโ€™s-a place to trade scrap metal for cash. So that and mailing the coffee โ˜•๏ธ I roasted yesterday. After those two errands were accomplished, we went to Tractor Supply, a local farm store, to pick up some T-posts to help with firewood ๐Ÿชต organization. I also found the perfect sign for @actifit-lamb.

She will be pleased with her own sign!

After that, a trip through the local coffee โ˜•๏ธ haunt for their delicious mocha frappes and on to the car wash. Our pickup ๐Ÿ›ป truck is red, bit it had enough moss and algae growing on it that you could mistake it for a Christmas ornament, lol ๐Ÿ˜‚! It is now back to its brilliant Colorado Red color. If a vehicle ๐Ÿš— sits up here or even if you drive it daily, they can grow the moss and algae on them. Very strange! ๐Ÿค”

It is full on digitalis season here! We took a bit of a road hike so I could get to a large offering of it. I just LOVE digitalis!!!๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜ Hereโ€™s some eye ๐Ÿ‘ candy ๐Ÿญ for your viewing pleasure!

The previous picture is what I call a โ€˜Queen and her courtโ€™. It has one main flowering stalk with 3-4 smaller ones surrounding it.

There was a lot of bee ๐Ÿ action as well!

I have many more digitalis photos but will save them for another day.

My hike was shorter as my back is still messed up; however I was able to take a little longer stride (hoping to stretch some muscles out) which did help and increased my hiking ๐Ÿฅพ speed a little.

Tomorrow sees me back to work and with the doc back from his vacation in Mexico. Itโ€™s going to be a busy day. Weโ€™ll see how it treats my back ๐Ÿง

Thatโ€™s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy your evening! Please continue to pray for Ukraine ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

๐Ÿ˜Awe just look at that pretty smileโค๏ธ
Just made my day.

  • daylight begins around 4:30 AM and darkness around 10:15 PM tonight*

I need this๐Ÿ˜‚ Night comes so fast, need more day time to finish things up.

I love the frame with the bee in flower [bees over there don't sting?๐Ÿ˜†]

Much Love Sis, day well spent๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿค—

Hi sweet sis! I have always said I need 48 hours in a day and the stamina to get through it! However, I suspect we would all just fill those 48 hours the same way we fill 24! As for the bees; yes they sting! I've been fortunate to not have that happen, and I know the risk, but cannot resist digitalis and the bees buzzing in them. I've gotten some stunning photos in the past with bees and 'digi' as I call it. Take my sis! Love ya much!๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒผ

Yes I think so too๐Ÿ˜, nothing changing changes.
๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒธ Ah I see, lovely. Your photography skills is top notch so I believe๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฏ
Love you more๐Ÿค—โ™ฅ๏ธ

I had the reverse reaction. When we left the US and moved to Central America, we experienced day break at 5 am and sun down at 7 pmโ€ฆ all year-round. It took three years to get use to it ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Enjoy your long summer nights. Theyโ€™re the best. ๐Ÿ’•

Interesting! I never gave a thought about below the equator, but things are reversed. I bet that was odd for you! Thanks for commenting!
