Heya Hiva シ
Ready or not, here I come..
-> from seeing a black camel pack, near the local wetlands!
Adventure afoot!
With the cooler months having contributed to my relatively pale complexion.. I'm finding it rather satisfying walking about in the warm African sunshine as of late. Today was quite a 'cooker' in fact, resulting in my shoulders being left with an awesome 'sun kissed' sensation. If I keep it up.. perhaps 'olive' may not be seem so far fetched afterall.

Ok, ok.. so perhaps not what you were expecting! Well neither was I.. this empty packet of cigarettes really caught me by surprise!

With the main pathway along the wetlands looking pretty clean now, I once again braved a couple of the smaller connecting paths. It was on one of them, where I found myself engaged in a game of tug of war. This large plastic wrapping was caught up in the adjacent foliage.

Stuck in the ground, and wedged between some branches was this large piece of thick fabric. I think it may have been some weathered denim.

This ugly junk must have been resting over that branch for quite some time. It was a delicate procedure to get it off as a result.. this whilst respecting the vegetation left behind of course.

How ironic for the wrapping of 'refuse bags', to find itself as a hideous piece of environmental trash - requiring the same.

I reckon this curious looking plastic cone, was the bottom portion of a flashlight. There was a large spring inside, which I think is where one or more batteries would probably have rested upon.

Today saw me courageously venturing some distance up the 'Brigantine River Trail'. Along the way, I spotted some delicate fabric. I was trying to put my finger on what it may have originated from. I think I've narrowed it down to either the remnants of a face mask.. or scarf perhaps?

This old paper cup and lid likely held coffee at one point in time. Awesome to rid the area of an unnecessary thought/memory.

There's clearly a lot of drinking going on in the area. Although I prefer seeing cans to glass.. all litter is ofcourse distasteful!

A carelessly discarded plastic soft drink bottle, required corrective action. The end result thereof being an instant natural 'face lift', for the fragile ecosystem.

More fabric of uncertain origin. This piece was found more or less in the centre of the river trail. This photo thus gives a pretty good idea of the width of the path.

I emptied all the trash picked up, in a local municipal bin. With the main rubbish collection day being Tuesdays, I'm hoping that this full dustbin will be emptied at the same time. Overall today's walk was another great success!
Till next time,
