Happy Monday and a very warm welcome to my report. Hopefully your new week is off to a great start.
Mine has been wonderful and I have had another ordinary day stepping it out in London.
So I had a short morning walk in the cold cloudy weather. It was slightly cold, ๐ฅถ so I didn't even make it to the other end of the street๐น.
Next stepping came around lunchtime going to the supermarket for groceries. Quite a cloudy day overall but with a short stint of sunshine๐.
I closed off the day walking in the fading sunset just after 6pm. Today has been colder than the past three days. Anyways, that was my walking and let's now proceed to see what caught my eye in the media streets.
In Gaza, Israeli ground forces are expanding their operation in Rafa despite international pressure๐.
A foreign aid worker was killed in Rafa in an attack targeting a UN flagged vehicle๐ฟ.
UN secretary general, Antonio Guterez has condemned attacks on UN staff and called for speedy investigation. So far more than 190 UN staff killed since October 7 when the war started ๐.
Also trending, a shocking video has emerged showing a group of Israelis, preventing aid trucks from reaching Gaza. They offloaded and destroyed aid on one of the trucks๐.
In the other war, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's Kharkiv region. Taking full advantage of Ukraine's military and weaponry weakness to assert maximum pressure๐ฟ.
Across the pond in the US, an army major has resigned from the military citing Israel's war on Gaza and how the US has been complicit in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians ๐. Adding that US support of Israel encourages reckless escalation in the region.
Also trending, trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen wad testifying for the prosecution in the hush money trial. Apparently Trump gave $130k to pornstar Stormy Daniels. He admitted to lying and bullying on behalf of his former boss๐น.
Finally, in crazy weather, thousands have evacuated as wildfire grew dramatically in western Canada๐. What a start to summer, let's hope everyone is now safe.
All's well that ends well ๐ฏ, am sure things will get back to normal.
