Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the last Sunday of 2024 and as always a day of gratitude and appreciating all the good things in our lives π―. 2025 will be an awesome and amazing year.
For me it's been another ordinary day and it's now time to break down how my stepping went and also the trending stories that caught my eye π.
As always thank you for reading and let's dive in π¨.
I began my day with some stretching moves before heading out for a walk around the neighborhood and park. The sun π was making for a beautiful day though the breeze was quite chilly.
After about 20 minutes, I was back indoors ready to deal with the usual house chores including laundry and cooking.
The afternoon saw me indoors checking out some YouTube videos and also trending news from around the world.
There were also some interesting matches in the EPL. Liverpool are on fireπ₯, they really punished WesthamπΉ.
My final walk was in the evening, dark and cloudy sunset. I walked for a short while around the neighbourhood before heading back indoors.
With that out of the way, let's have a look at what was trending around the world.
In Gaza , another horrendous bloody day unfolded with 30 Palestinians killed around the stripπΏ.
Israel targeted Al Ahli and Al Wafa hospitals. This after destroying Kamal Adwan hospital in the north. The director of Kamal Adwan hospital is still detained by Israeli forces and his whereabouts remain unknownπ.
Still in Gaza, a twenty day old baby became the fifth to die from cold π₯Ά weather. As temperatures dropped Palestinians living in flimsy tents, some without proper blanketsπΏ.
Not far off in Syria, ten people were killed on the outskirts of Damascus as Israeli airstrikes targeted an ammunition depotπΏ.
Israel is destroying military equipment in Syria just incase they fall into the wrong hands.
In Europe, Croatia trending as incumbent president Zoran Milanovic is headed to a win in the just concluded election π. A January runoff had been expected if none of the 8 candidates got over 50% of the votes.
Speaking of presidents, the new Georgian president was sworn in even as the predecessor has refused to stand asideπ.
Across the pond, still on presidents, former president Jimmy Carter has died aged 100. He died peacefully surrounded by family. May his soul RIP. That's quite a long life, should be celebrated and remembered for all the good he broughtπ―.
Finally, south Korea trending as a Boeing 737 veered off the runway during landing, crashed and burst into flames. Somehow the wheels didn't come out and it landed on its bellyπ.
It is south Korea's worst aviation disaster as it killed 179 peopleπΏ. Two crew members who were at the tail end of the flight were the only survivors.
Acting South Korean president has declared seven days of mourning as the country comes to terms with that accident.

Oh yes, most people keep indoors in this cold weather, that' s why you hardly see anyone walking around. The spring and summer will see people out and about later in 2025. Happy new year to you and everyone reading this. A new start with lots of blessings is what we have in 2025. Amen..
