After being away from the gym for a month and half because I traveled and came back with a handful of commitments. I realised that laziness was slowly creeping in. The Longer I stayed back from the gym the harder I felt to get back into my routine.

This morning, without any prior planning, I woke up early and headed straight to the gym. This time around no excuses or over thinking, I just took action. On arriving I stepped on the scale as usual, guess what? I weighed 85kg. I was shocked, because my last records has been between 81kg and 82kg. I was so disappointed in myself, then I realised that, that wake up call was clearly needed.

So I get into it. Starting with the trademill, I pushed myself until I hit 4000 steps, then I continued with a variety of other exercises to get my body moving again. Then I wrapped up my workout with a good stretching. Then I stepped back on to the scale like I always do after my workout, but this time, I weighed 84kg, I felt 1kg lighter 🤸🤸🤸🤸.

Today reminded me that progress is about showing up, even when it's hard. I am back and this time, I am keeping the momentum going.
Thank you.
