Vacation is entering the final days with just two days left before I have to return to work.
Today I started the day with a trip to the grocery store to stock up the food for the week. When I came back home we ate and there were things to do around the house. I helped my wife with cleaning the microwave and the gas stove.
Then we watched a documentary "Mr Nobody against Putin" The documentary is basically an inside view on how the education system has changed in Russia after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
It was filmed by a Russian teacher from a small Russian town. It shows a rapidly increasing amount of state enforced propaganda in the school. Children were brainwashed and prepared to be loyal soldiers for Putin.
It also shows increasing human cost of war on ordinary Russians. The level of brainwashing is at par or even higher than what I have experienced during my childhood in the Soviet Union.
They even brought back the pioneers, but they use this young communist organization as a nationalistic militaristic Putin cult.
In school children are lectured about the hybrid war America is supposedly wagging against Russia. Children are taught to be vigilant and look for enemies of the people and traitors.
There is an atmosphere of fear and distrust, children are falling behind because of all the additional lessons of patriotic spirit, military drills, and other propaganda from heroes of the special operation in Ukraine and mercenaries from Wagner Group.
All of this is not going to end well, a whole generation of children is taught to hate America, Europe and pretty much everyone else in a country with a giant nuclear arsenal.
Besides they are glamorizing the war and usage of nuclear weapons. This could lead to some really horrible future which would make the war in Ukraine where over a million Russian soldiers were already killed and probably about half a million of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians died look like a small conflict with tiny human life loss...
The whole peace making farce that is going on right now just feels really disconnected from reality where for Putin the war is essential to maintain his power and iron grip on the enslaved Russian population.
He is definitely not interested in peace and a million plus army coming back home and demanding answers about what they were doing in Ukraine and demanding jobs or continuation of the high payments they have grown used to as contract soldiers.
A really hard to watch documentary for me as thirty plus years of relative freedom got replaced with a complete rollback to the days of iron curtain and complete lies everywhere and Russian people are mostly happy to go back to being the loyal slaves of the tyrannical state.

It is beyond the agenda over there. It is all directives coming from Moscow directly to every single school in Russia and they have to follow what to say and do or all loose jobs...

Wow, I didn't know you're a Russian from birth I can imagine this is hard for you and see the rollback in your country.
I think this can only end in one way, the collapse of the current Russia like in '91 with the USSR.
China and India told Putin not to use nuclear weapons so that's something but no telling what a desperate ruler will do in its final days.
Even IF the war would stop, all traumatized soldiers getting back to Russian society (many are ex convicts) will cause a lot of problems.
Well, technically I am half Russian half Ukrainian and was born in Kharkiv, Ukrainian Republic of USSR.
While watching this documentary I kept getting a feeling that a country of 120 million people brainwashed by propaganda and hardened by four years of war could do a lot of damage if Ukraine eventually falls and they absorb the 40 million Ukrainians and move to retake the former Soviet Republics and eastern block members...
