The Heat is back on, so Silvertop and Liz planned for an evening hike!😇

That sounds like a plan Liz, we will hold off till it starts to cool down……then we can hike!😊
Our youngest son has found a way to cool off as well!
The Salmon are running over on the Eastern side of the Cascades, and he and his Wife are spending a few day fishing on lake Wenatchee!😊
This lake is near a small Mountain town called Plain Washington.
This town is a second home for Liz and Silvertop!🤗
In the fourth photo you can see the hustling and bustling downtown of this town…….Plain Hardware store Lol!🤣
Silvertop has many stories about Plain Washington, and here is one………..
Deep snow falls throughout the winter in this sleepy little town. Over one hundred years ago, they used cross country skis to deliver the Mail approximately 30 miles from the nearby town of Leavenworth Washington.
This could not go on forever, so they decided to establish a post office in the tiny town.
“What town name do you want us to put on the U.S. Post Office?”
The town residence said we don’t care, just give it a “Plain” name!
So the town of Plain Washington was born!🤗
If you are looking for the night life you are in the wrong town………
If you want to experience the Beauty and solitude of the Cascade Mountains you are home!😇

Silvertop was checking out the many “free sample vendors” in the Air conditioning of Costco Lol!🤣
“Is it cool yet Honey, it’s almost 6:00 PM,
Hike to the pond?”🥰
“It could be hotter Liz, it’s 95 degrees in Plain!”🥵

I'm kind of done with the heat, and if it takes going into fall to get away from it, I'm all for that! Crisp temps and a hint of wood smoke on the air would be quite nice just now!
