One of the old Austrian/ Hungarian Christmas traditions, that I was told about from my Mother, was lighting real candles on the very real Christmas tree!😳
My Grandfather would be so nervous!
They would sing a Christmas song, and quickly blow out the candles!😅😇
This morning over in Hungary, they lit sparklers on the Christmas tree!😲
Silvertop was getting nervous just watching!😬
Our son in Hungary was as well, as he watched this somewhat dangerous tradition taking place!😬
Years ago when he was little, I tried to burn sagebrush in our pasture in Colorado. Bill would be following behind putting out the fire I was starting Lol!🤣
“Dad it is going to get out of control!”😳
The sparklers safely burned out, and everyone wished each other a very Happy Thanksgiving!🥰
“Phoenix are you ready for an early morning hike?”
I think we will all need to burn off some calories today Lol!
As I write this Holiday post, it it already the beginning of the Christmas season.

Thank you very much it was a wonderful Thanksgiving day, but most of all it was wonderful to get together with our son and his wife!😍
It is actually more dangerous here during New Year where firecrackers are used in residential areas. Thus many people lose their hands, fingers, or sense of hearing.
That sounds terrible my friend, are fireworks legal in your country? Overhear the larger fireworks are not allowed to many people have been hurt....
Fireworks are legal. There are firecrackers which was usually used during New Year. Many people became disabled because of it. Some hands are amputated.
Sounds like the same over here even though they're illegal people will find a way to get them if they want fireworks....
That's true. I don't like firecrackers. It's like war over here during New Year.
Over here they go down by the ocean and shoot off fireworks where it's safer. Although some people still shoot them off up in the forest, it could cause a fire!!
Yeah. Here, just outside the house, within their yards.
