In Hamlet, Shakespeare's tragedy, in Act V, there is the scene of the gravediggers.
Hamlet observes the man who is doing his honest work and notices that the undertaker while shoveling, whistles merrily.
Then Hamlet asks how one can whistle while doing such sad and lugubrious work.
The other gravedigger's answer is simple: he's done it so many times that he's used to it by now.
Today I returned to Rome after spending two weeks on my beloved mountains. I managed to be present on hive every day through Actifit and put my emotions on paper which helped me to come back regenerated again.
Since I was a child I have been educated to the values of love for one's neighbour, sacrifice and forgiveness. These principles have never clashed with my rather exuberant personality.
Until, however, I found myself entangled in some relationships in which these principles suffocated my personality in the name of a greater good: peace and serenity.
Now, you will say, everything is fine.
But no, because in reality I have gradually become dominated by goodism, a bit the story of the boiled frog, and piece by piece I have lost the truest part of me.
It took me many years to find it again, and every time my soul feels like it's taking a step back, I experience a moment of confusion that I know how to recognize and deal with.
Often after this moment, I come out better, in a state of higher energy.
Never become so tolerant as to tolerate the intolerable.
Whether they are conquered rights, whether they are principles of the soul, whether they are your dreams, wheter is a matter of justice, don't give up a step.
Because once you've sold an inch, they'll ask you for another, and another.
Don't be silent in the face of violence, injustice, stupidity, or you will be guilty of not wanting a better world as much as those who actively created it.

Nell'Amleto, la tregedia di Shakespeare, nell'atto V, c'è la scena dei becchini.
Amleto osserva il becchino che sta compiendo il suo onesto lavoro e nota che il becchino mentre spala, fischietta allegramente. Allora Amleto chiede come si possa fischiettare mentre si compie un lavoro così triste e lugubre. La risposta dell'altro becchino è semplice: lo ha fatto talmente tante volte che ormai si è abituato.
Oggi sono tornata a Roma dopo aver trascorso due settimane sui miei adorati monti.
Sono riuscita ad essere presente su hive ogni giorno tramite Actifit e a mettere nero su bianco le mie emozioni cosa che mi ha aiutato a tornare di nuovo comunque rigenerata.
Fin da piccola sono stata educata ai valori dell'amore verso il prossimo, del sacrificio, del perdono.
Questi principi non hanno mai cozzato con la mia personalità piuttosto esuberante.
Fino a quando però mi sono ritrovata invischiata in alcune relazioni nelle quali questi principi hanno soffocato la mia personalità in nome di un bene superiore: la pace e la serenità.
Ora, voi direte, tutto regolare. E invece no, perché in realtà sono diventata piano piano succube del buonismo, un po' la storia della rana bollita, e pezzo dopo pezzo ho perduto la parte di me più vera.
Ci ho messo molti anni a ritrovarla, e ogni volta che la mia anima sente di star facendo un passo indietro, provo un momento di confusione che però so riconescere ed affrontare. Spesso dopo questo momento, ne esco migliorata, ad uno stato di energia più alta.
Non diventate mai così tolleranti da arrivare a tollerare l'intollerabile.
Che siano diritti conquistati, che siano principi dell'anima, che siano i vostri sogni, che vi troviate di fronte all'ingiustizia, non cedete un passo.
Perché una volta ceduto un centimetro, ve ne chiederanno un altro, e un altro ancora.
Non siate muti di fronte alla violenza, alla stupidità o all'ingiustiziq, o sarete colpevoli di non aver voluto un mondo migliore tanto quanto coloro che lo hanno attivamente creato.
